Harry's arrival was of course as exciting as Brandi's, and everyone rallied around him to make sure he was comfortable proceeding his big scary hearing. Of course, the days leading up to it were tense and unnerving, and everyone seemed to be secretly worried, but Brandi had a feeling everything would turn out okay eventually.
One revelation that came from Harry and Brandi's reunion was of course that they missed each other and they relied heavily on the other's support during this ongoing fight, but their closeness had also resulted in their sibling rivalry beginning to set in. It only took a few days before they began bickering innocently.
It was never about anything serious, and they always got over it straight away, but the thing that made onlookers gasp was the way that both Harry and Brandi had shared trauma mixed with dark senses of humour, causing for some extremely low blows and vicious insults that no one else would dare touch with a ten foot pole.
They really were brother and sister for that reason.
The morning of Harry's hearing, everybody got up early to see him and Arthur off and give their best wishes, utterly confused to walk into the kitchen to see Harry and Brandi in an all out fight over the maple syrup.
"You're apparently so magically gifted, conjur up your own, I had it first you maple slag!" Harry shouted.
"I made the dam breakfast I get the maple syrup, ungrateful thief!" she argued back.
Sirius, Molly, Remus, Arthur and the kids all watched slightly amused. "When did this start?" Sirius asked the kids.
"When Harry got back. Think the honey moon stage of their sibling relationship is over, things are getting real," Ron informed, giggling at the way they went at it.
It was at this point that Brandi proceeded to crawl across the table with the maple syrup in her hands, running away from Harry who had also mounted the furniture to get it back from her, before tackling Brandi on the top of the table and causing a series of screams.
"Get off me, orphan!" Brandi screeched, making Remus almost choke on his tongue, not ready for such savagery.
"Give me the syrup, you're bound to be a stripper anyway with all those daddy issues!" Harry retaliated, this time Sirius almost choking while the kids all held back their laughter and sniggers, loving the show. No one knew Harry could match Brandi's attitude until now.
"Yeah? Well I have TWO dads now, need me to share?" Brandi clapped back in between screams of pain from her brother on top of her. "AH get OFF ME you fat lard!"
Harry didn't give in. "Give me the syrup or I'll tell the tabloids you had a sex change and want everyone to start calling you Carlos!"
Brandi stopped struggling immediately, Harry still trapping her in a headlock. "You wouldn't dare."
"Oh but I would."
She finally gave up, too tired to continue fighting, and smacked the table signalling she tapped out while Sirius and Remus continued sniggering.
"Don't think this is over you ungrateful shit, I hope you get convicted today." Brandi warned, fixing her hair and shirt from the brawl. It was then time for the abrupt change of pace that always came after their fights. "So do you want me to cook you anything special for tonight?" Brandi asked completely calm and collected, the both of them suddenly acting like nothing ever happened.
Remus and Sirius shared a look of exhaustion. "Merlin..." Remus mumbled.
"That was...interesting," Sirius agreed, the house finally joining the two at the table.
