So I'm slowly becoming a sucker for Philippine History bc the events are gold.
Like that one time where Andres Bonifacio told the KKK (the Filipino one) to rip their cedulas apart. Cedulas were kinda like ID cards in the Spanish Colonisation Period. That event was awesome!
And there were many more events. Imma just stop before I geek out.
It's safe to say i love my country. I also may have a crush on the countryhuman Philippines. It's a maybe. I'm not sure yet.
Also, I believe the West Philippine Sea is the Philippines' territory, not China's. China based their "Nine-Dash-Line" on a 1947 map.
The Philippines on the other hand, based our territory on a 1734 map. 1734!!!
Doesn't that scream "it's my territory!!!" To you?
In fact, in 2016, the UN held a tribunal judging the issue. It ruled in favour of the Philippines. The Philippines won, but China just kept going.
No offence to all the Chinese out there. I'm not blaming it on you. I didn't say I blamed it all on the Chinese.
My professor in Social Studies referred to it as "the Chinese government, not the people."
I'm not questioning the Chinese government. Nor am I criticising it. I'm just saying.
I'm sorry I just came fresh from a major paper in Social Studies about the West Philippine Sea Dispute. I'll leave before I write a whole essay now.
