Kleyton’s POV

When we’re out of the field, I was overwhelmed with the crowd. I tried to find my baby doll but miserably failed. There are probably thousands of people in the arena.

“You changed your jersey number?” Stephan whispered.

“Yeah” I said grinning.

“But I thought you like number 1?” he frowned.

“Well I like number 9 now” I answered with a ridiculous grin.

He raised his eyebrows, I shrug my shoulder and before I run to my position, I heard Stephan curse. What the hell is his problem?

I saw my 10 members already in their position; so these are the people to play first. My team consists of the six new members, Peter, Carl, Mark, Stephan and me. I’m the captain of our team by the way that’s why I have number one in my jersey but tonight I’m number nine, all because of my baby doll. And I'm not complaining about it, I’m willing to do whatever she’ll ask me to do.

Before the game started, I saw Stephan walked towards our coach and whispered something. A while after he heads back to our locker room and another member stood out from our bench, it’s Alex. I guess he’s substituting Stephan. Alex’s really not into football that’s why he always choose to be the extra one, he was only joining the team for girl's purposes, says girls loves football players. Stephan’s really weird this evening.

The game started smoothly and I can say this is really our night. We’ve scored a lot and our enemies were so way behind us. My schoolmates were so eager and happy to see the game, confident we’re gonna bring home the title of a champion and of course the trophy, we’re green wild cartson cats by the way. Every now and then, I glanced at the crowd, hoping to see my baby doll but darn why can’t I find her?

I saw coach signalled time out and instructed Alex to get out, Stephan’s back and he’s mood is obviously elevated. He’s grinning like a fool, maybe he settled his issues a while ago when he head back to our locker room. He gave me a nod and I nod back at him.

Again we lined up, when I heard the whistle, I started running. I plan to make another touchdown. As I was running, I noticed most of the enemy’s team were running towards me. I did not have a choice but pass the ball to my team member. I was expecting them to change course and run after my teammate who has the ball but to my surprise they’re still running towards me. They’re not stopping, expression were blank, they've got this determined look on their faces to hit me.

Wait-- hit me? Oh shit, I run away from them but my reaction is over too late, they hit me and piled up above me. I can’t move, I can’t breathe, I felt pain everywhere and I am suffocating.

I struggled to breathe and after what feels like forever, the weight above me gradually lifted. I saw my coach grabbed me and air filled my lungs. Oh heavens, it feels so good to be able to breathe again.

“Are you okay?” coach asked.

“Yeah” I answered. I saw my teammates gathered around me, concern in their faces.
