Second Chance (Continuation)

Chapter 3 Part 3

Bi An can hear some birds chirping loudly. He slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them. He looked at the window and saw it's already dawn. 
Bi An yawned and decided to go downstairs.

When he was already downstairs. He didn't see Wu Jiu. He was wondering where he is, until he saw a piece of paper put on the table. He picked it up and read. 

'I'm going to go out for a while Bi An. I already prepared breakfast for you in the kitchen. See you later in Nantai Bridge.' 

Bi An stared at the paper for a while. He sighed in disappointment. He really wanted to eat together with Wu Jiu. 'I wondered what he is doing right now.' He thought while picking up breakfast that was prepared by Wu Jiu.

The sky is already darker and darker. Bi An prepared himself for a meeting in Nantai Bridge. He looked at himself in the mirror. He took a breathe in and out. He smiled a little and decided to go out.

After some minutes passed by, he already arrived at Nantai Bridge. He saw the figure he is looking for standing at the side of bridge. Bi An immedaitely ran toward him. "Wu Jiu!".

Wu Jiu sees him and turn around. "You came earlier than I thought." Bi An only gives him a smile. 

"So, what are we going to discuss about?" 

"Ah." Wu Jiu gives a silent answer. Bi An looks confused with his act. "Wu Jiu? Are you alright?"

"Ah yes. Sorry, i was spaced out a little bit." He then sighed a little and asked for a help. "Bi An, could you help me to take the umbrella at our home?" 

Bi An gives a confused look. "Why? If it's because its going to rain. We can buy it in another store." 

Wu Jiu shook his head. "...that umbrella is important for me." 

Bi An feels Wu Jiu is acting weird. But the he decided to go back home to take the umbrella. "Alright then." 

Bi An turned around to see Wu Jiu's face. "Promised me you won't leave me." Bi An feels this situation is suspicious and weird. He really hopes that nothing will be gone wrong. 

Wu Jiu stared at Bi An's purple eyes and smiled. "Yes, of course. I promise." When hearing Wu Jiu's answer. Bi An smiled at him.

When he was going to leave. Bi An told Wu Jiu to wait under the bridge. "Promise me you won't go anywhere." Wu Jiu only chuckled. 

When Wu Jiu sees Bi An's back from behind. His smile slowly faded. "Sorry, Bi An."

Bi An entered the house and searched the umbrella. When he already found it, he immediately took it and went back to Wu Jiu's place. 

On his way, he can feel some water falling from the sky. And its starting to feel heavy. Thunders can be heard from his ears. He immediately opened the umbrella to cover him from the rain. "I hope Wu Jiu won't mad at me for letting him wet." He whispered and ran faster.

When he already arrived at Nantai Bridge. He sees so many people crowded at the side of bridge. Bi An was confused for what is happening. He heard one of the crowded said something. "Have you seen there was a guy drowning under the bridge? It's so terrible." 
"Yeah and even until now gis body has not where to be seen." 

Bi An heard those conversation. Then, he realized Wu Jiu isn't here. His heart is beating faster now. 

"I heard that someone who got drowned is a government officer who got accused for hurting government's son." 

"Oh yeah, what is his name again?"

"Fan Wu Jiu."

Bi An eyes went wide. "No, it can't be true." His body started to trembling hard. He immediately run to under the bridge. But the polices hold him. "Don't go in there. It's still flooding."

"No! My friend is still there! Let me find him!" He shouted in despair. He let go off his umbrella from his holding and kneeled down. 

His face shows in hopelessness. He let the rain started to fall on him. His tears and rain become one. He closed his eyes and hold his chest tightly. He kept thinking as if it was just his nightmare. It can't be true for him. And he already promised he won't leave him. And won't go anywhere. 

He shouted in despair and cries desperate. He whispered his name softly. "Wu Jiu."

The case of government's son already closed. The accused was fall down to Fan Wu Jium but unfortunately, the suspect was known as dead since he was drowned during rainstorm in Nantai Bridge. So the local government decided to closed this case.

"We are sorry, sir. But we have tried our best. And yet his body is nowhere to be found." Said the police officer with grieve voice. Bi An only stared with blank expression and closed the door without saying a word. The police officer only shook his head and decided to left.

Night and morning keep changing all the time. The time can't be stop. Bi An kept laying down on his bed. He hasn't eaten for days, and his body can be seen so skinny.On side of his table, there is a piece of paper which is Wu Jiu's last message for him amd the other side there is a black umbrella. Bi An remembered what Wu Jiu said. The black umbrella is important for him.

Bi An stood up and took the umbrella. He hug it for a while. He then decided to go downstair. And he saw a rope on the corner.

The sky is so dark right now. And there are some stars and moon shining. Bi An walked to the Nantai Bridge with his hands holding umbrella and rope. 

He put the umbrella under the bridge and went up. He tied up the rope on the side of bridge. He stood at the side of it. He looked at the stars for a while and smiled. He closed his eyes and laughed a little. "Let's meet again, Wu Jiu." 

Will we meet again in afterlife?
