Chapter 3 Part 7

The monitor's screen showed some maps selection. All of them watched it carefully. Eli typed something to the monitor.

Michiko confused for what is he doing right now. "What are you typing for?"

Eli still hasn't taken his eyes off. "I'm doing a research." And when he finally done typing. It showed "Lakeside Village" map.

"Lakeside?" Asked Leo.

"They went in there." Eli pointed out the map that is shown in the monitor. "It is said the lakeside village is the latest map that was being used." He thinks for a while. "And look at the time."

The hunters look at the time when was the last time this map was being used.

2 A.M xxdate-xxmonth-xxxx.

It was the time when the fire incident happened.

"On my conclusion, this is the place." Eli said it without a doubt.

"Hold up, but we can't get in those maps whenever we want. Except those who has match or a permission. And we will get a punishment if we sneak in." Asked Joseph.

Eli looked at the hunters. "Aren't you all aware of the host?" Hunters stared Eli with confusion.

"The host is either doesn't care about this case or he doesn't know anything." He clicked the "enter" on monitor.

"And in my opinion, he's probably the one who behind this. There's no way he doesn't know about this. Also there are hunter and survivor missing." Eli took a long breathe and continued. "Especially there are spirits roaming around."

"It could be he doesn't give a shit about them. You know probably they aren't worthy eno-" Leo quickly covered Joseph's mouth with his hand. He looked at Michiko for a while. "Can you just behave for once?" He said.

Eli stared at the monitor again. "It's up to your choice. I bet you all won't get a punishment from a host."

Eli walked towards the hunters. "But there is a difference when we get in this match than usually. For example us survivors won't get wounded or injured in the usual match even we got hit. Well, even sometimes there are still some hunters hit us that hard." Said Eli while he looked at Joseph who is whistling around.

"Do you think there is any consequences?" Asked Leo.

"Yes." Replied Eli. He closed his eyes and sighed. "On this match, we can die in there." He said.

"Oh no. Poor boy. I guess you should leave us and go home." Joseph said it with an arrogant voice.

"What I said we is all of us can die." Joseph widen his eyes in shock.

"There's no way we can die that easily."

Eli shook his head and turned around to see the lobby room. "Our opponents are some kind of spirits. We don't know what kind of ability they have and how strong they are. This is life and death game now."

The hunters heard all Eli explanation. They can die. Again. Is it worthy to save a hunter with your life?

"Huh imagine you die once more again."

"It's not funny, Photographer."

"I'm not joking, Hell Ember."

Eli can see the atmosprehe change here. He gives a long sigh. "If you all don't want to continue this rescue mission. We can pretend all of this never happened."

"Then, what about your survivor friend?" Leo asked.

Eli silented for a while and answered. "It's better to not lose more than one."

The room remained silence now. Eli then decided to not continue it since it's too risky. Not until, someone talked.

"I'm going." Eli shook when he heard there is still someone who wants to continue.

"Wait, Miss Geisha don't do this. It's way too risky. You can lost your life." Leo tried to hold Michiko back.

"Don't be coward, Mr. Hell Ember. I'm doing this because he needs help." Michiko stared Leo with full of hope. "I can't just ignore him."

Leo stunned at Michiko. She is still being stubborn. He sighed at her. "Fine, I'll come too."

Michiko feels relieved when she heard Leo's answer. Joseph suprised at both of them who even afraid of death again.

"Well, since we are already here. Let's continue this." Said Joseph with ambitious. Michiko thanked them for helping.

Eli stunned at hunters who are depending on each other. He thought they would abandon their partner behind and were being selfish. 'They are different than some of us thought.' He smiled a little.

They entered the lobby room. The room is full of dust and looked like an abandoned place. Joseph sneezed a little because of falling dust. "This place is so sucky."

Then, they saw a long table with four seats. Behind the torn curtains there is one seat.

"I already arranged the time. We can get in the map in 2 minutes from now. We should take those seats." Explained Eli.

The hunters took all the seats. But the problem is survivors seats are a little smaller for them.

"AHAHAAHAHAHA, YOU BROKE THE CHAIR." Joseph laughed at Leo who accidentally broke one of survivor's seat. Leo felt embarassed.

Eli sweatdropped at them. "They are so abnormal, aren't they?" He asked to Michiko while she just gives a nervous smile.

Eli told Leo to take the hunter's seat instead. Joseph is still laughing loudly.

Michiko saw some small microphone on the table. "What are these?"

"Those are some communications we used in the match." Eli took all of them and gives the hunters 3 each. "We can communicate by using it. I think they are still working. Just put it on your ears."

The hunters put their microphone to their ear. They tested for a while and still working.

The time lobby showed it's already 50 seconds now. "Be prepared, we are going to get in."

Everyone took all their seats. All of them can feel the tension of it. A rescue mission with life and death game. Can they succeed?

Michiko took a long breathe. She saw the time on 10 seconds now. She closed her eyes and hoped she can bring back Xie safely.

The match starts.
