Dark!Elsa Storyline (Editing)

The Incident

Elsa continued to grow up normally for the next few years. When she realized that Anna was gone, Pitch and Gothel explained to her that Anna didn't have powers like she did, and that she went to Arendelle because it was better suited for her. Elsa was very sad, but she continued on through her life. 

By the time she was twelve, Pitch and Gothel had another child. A little girl named Ellianna. Her name was meant to be a cross between her sisters' names, Elsa and Anna. Elsa was scared to become close to her at first, out of fear for losing another sister she cared for so much, but eventually her love overpowered her fear. Elsa became very attached to Ellianna and loved her very much.

Pitch's magic had begun to corrupt him. He wanted the next heir to the throne of the Dark Kingdom to be very strong and powerful. The biggest issue he found was that none of his children possessed his dark abilities. Gothel attempted to reason with him to at the very least not harm any of their children. Pitch's magic corrupted her as well, and even made her work alongside him. They came up with a plot the would force one of their children to take on some of Pitch's dark magic. Their main target being Elsa. She was the oldest and strongest, meaning she would have the best chance of taking on magic that was foreign to her body and survive. 

Pitch and Gothel summoned Elsa out to the throne room. When she came in, she saw Ellianna sitting on the floor across the room from them. She looked at her parents and asked "What's going on?" Instead of answering her question, Pitch started forming a large arrow out of dark sand. Gothel smirked and said "You are next in line for the throne, meaning you need to start preparing." Pitch held up the arrow and aimed it right at Ellianna. Elsa's eyes widened as she stared at her parents in fear. "What are you doing?" she yelled. "Elsa, you need to learn that there are sacrifices that need to be made for the greater good of our kingdom." Pitch stated calmly. "Either take the arrow and prove you are worthy of being a leader, or let your baby sister die and take the throne by default. It's your choice." Elsa didn't have time to think because Pitch let go of the arrow. She bolted towards Ellianna and tried to protect her. The arrow hit her chest and pushed her back into a spiked wall. One of the spikes hit the center of her spine and caused her to pass out.

A few hours later Elsa wakes up on the floor, feeling weak and dizzy. Pitch and Gothel walked up to her. "How are you feeling my little nightmare?" Pitch said with a smile. She looked up at them, tried to sit up, and instantly fell back down. Gothel knelt down to Elsa and held her up. "You now have some of your father's powers darling." Elsa looked up at Pitch and spoke quietly. He knelt down with them and asked her to repeat herself. "Why?" she asked, whimpering. "It's simple. You can't be the Nightmare Queen without having control over fear. I will train you, and you will become even more powerful. You will become queen of the Dark Kingdom and you will be a very strong and powerful leader." After Pitch finished explaining his plan, he realized that Elsa had already passed out due to her injuries. 

When Elsa woke back up, Pitch and Gothel instantly started her training. The first thing they taught her to do was make her own fearling. Elsa didn't want to use the soul of a lost child to create her fearling, so instead Pitch used a little bit of her soul to create it. Once it was formed, they realized it had light blue eyes instead of gold. Pitch told Elsa to name her fearling, and to train it. Elsa named her fearling Etta. It didn't take long for her to realize that Etta shared not only a soul with Elsa, but also a personality. Etta was very similar to Elsa in her general behavior and demeanor. 

Pitch and Gothel continued to teach Elsa different abilities with her new powers. She learned how to shadow jump to travel quicker, and how to sense fear in people.  She caught on quick and became very good and manipulating people's fears. The further Pitch's magic corrupted him, the worse the training became for Elsa, especially when she made it clear to her parents that she didn't want to use her powers to hurt anyone. Elsa may be able to control fear, but she has to big of a heart to hurt people. Pitch and Gothel constantly pressured her to use her powers for their intended purpose. She continuously refused and told them she didn't want to hurt anyone. This causes a rift in their relationship, and makes their family situation very complicated. Elsa began to talk to her parents less and less. Their magical corruption and obsession with power caused Pitch and Gothel to slowly lose their minds, and made them become abusive towards Elsa. During training they would constantly push her limits, making her work to hard, depriving her of sleep, and keeping her away from Ellianna. She was also very young, meaning she was weaker then the both of them. Elsa wasn't an adult yet, however she was always expected to act like one.
