*PJ's POV*
I ran down the dark streets of London. I had no idea where I was, nor did I care. All I cared about was finding Angie. I barely knew the girl, yet for some reason I had such a strong attachment to her, as if we'd been best friends for years.
I turned round the corner at full speed and accidentally bumped into some lady.
"Watch where you're going, you clod!" She shouted at me.
I mumbled an apology and keep running.
Something terrible could be happening to Angie and it would be all my fault. I invited her to come on the TARDIS. I was the one who lost track of her. If she somehow got hurt, I would never be able to forgive myself.
"Peej!" I heard frantic shouting from behind me and saw a dark figure running in my direction.
"Who's there!?" I yelled, but my question quickly became redundant as I realized it was simply Chris.
"Oh, Chris." I sighed.
"Peej, I've got some news on Angie!" he smiled at me, "I don't know how but the Doctor figured out she's in that building over there." He said, pointing his index towards a rundown apartment bulding. "But he said he couldn't pinpoint which exact room she is in"
"Bloody hell..." I mumbled. "Why would she be in there!?" I took off in a sprint towards the building, Chris in pursuit.
"You take floors 1 and 2, I'll take 3 and 4." I told him. He nodded in response. I sped down the hall, knocking on doors and asking people if they had seen her. I got to the last door on Floor Three and right as I was about to knock, I heard voices. They were quiet, but just loud enough for me to hear. I knew I shouldn't have eavesdropped but I coudn't help myself.
"My head hurts, Tom." I heard a distressed female voice say. Angie? No, no. I can't jump to conclusions so soon. I thought.
"Don't worry, Angie baby, you'll feel better soon."
That was all the evidence I needed.
I kicked down the rather poorly made door, then stormed in. Angie was lying on the couch in the living room- or, rather, the bed. It appeared to be a two room apartment, with a tiny kitchen off to the left and a living room with a pull out couch off to my right. I saw a bathroom directly across the room. Angie lay on the bed, her dress bunched up around her waist, exposing her little panties and bra. I looked away to save her modesty, instead looking at the man who stood above her. He was tall, though not as tall as me, and seemingly a bit more muscular. He was frozen with his hands undoing his belt buckle, shirtless. He's trying to take advantage of Angie! The bastard! I thought. In a storming, raging fit, I charged at him with my fists up. He realized what I was trying to do, but too late. I hit him in the jaw, causing him to fall back a few steps. While I may not have been the strongest person, I could still pack a punch. Before he could recover, I hit him in the nose, then the stomach, then kneed him in the balls. He fell to the ground, unable to get up since I was battering him. I kicked, hit, scratched at everything I could. After a few minutes he stopped moving, so I thought he was out. Just then, Chris appeared through the doorway. He took one look at the scene and put together what had happened. He rushed over to Angie, pulling her dress back up and down in the right places, then picked her up bridal style.
"Thanks, Chris. I'll call the police, you take her back to the TARDIS." I told Chris.
"Yeah, alrigh- LOOK OUT!" Chris yelled.
I turned around, only to receive a blow to my face that surely broke my nose.
He wasn't out. It was all just a ploy to catch me off guard. I realized.
I staggered backward, clutching my bleeding nose. He charged at me again, but I ducked under his arm and ran out the door. While he was stronger, my legs were longer and I could run faster. I was able to hop into the elevator with Chris right before it closed. The doors shut before he had enough time to get in, so we were safe for now."Peej, your nose! What happened?" Chris asked, worried.
"He got a blow in. Nothing too bad, the Doctor can fix me right up." I explained, dabbing at the blood.
"Alright, well, you call him, okay? He needs to come get us. We're pretty far from the TARDIS." Chris told me. I nodded, pulling out my phone.
"Oh, Chris... Our phones don't work. We're in the 60's, remember?" I reminded him as I looked at my useless phone.
"We'll find a payphone, then. Once these elevator doors open, we need to go fast. That guy may have taken the stairs." Chris pointed out. I nodded again.
"Let's get outside into someplace public, alright? He can't do anything there." Chris agreed, moving Angie onto his back piggyback style.
The doors opened and we bolted. I looked around as we ran. There wasn't any sign of the big, blonde man, but we ran quickly anyways. We got into the sunlight, looking around. One way down the street seemed darker and dirty, and from the other way, we could hear car horns and people shouting. We followed the shouting, obviously. It took us into a busy square, where we stopped to find a payphone or a diner or something. I found a payphone next to bus stop. Chris gently set Angie down on the bench, then sat next to her. She slumped over onto his shoulder, asleep. How did she sleep through that? I wondered.
I stuck a quarter into the machine, then dialed the Doctor's number. It rang four times, then went to voicemail.
"Shit!" I swore, "He didn't answer!"
"Were you calling me?" I heard a familiar voice from behind me.
"Doctor, you found us! We got Angie, some guy took her home and was trying to get in her pants, and she's drunk and passed out on Chris right there... Where's the TARDIS?" I rambled.
"Oh, bullocks. Alright, at least she's safe... We need to keep a closer eye on her. She's a trouble maker, that one. And, the TARDIS is right there you numpty!" He responded.
I looked to where he was pointing. Sure enough, the bright blue box sat a few meters away on the sidewalk.
"Thank goodness, let's get Angie into bed. She's had a long day." Chris put in. We agreed, helping Angie up. She clutched on to me, making me smile. We went back into the TARDIS. I brought Angie back to my room, since she didn't have one yet. I laid her down in my soft sheets and took off her boots. I should take her dress off... That won't be comfortable to sleepin... I thought. But that means I'll see her in her undergarments!
I decided just to do it, so blushing furiously, I unzipped her tight dress and pulled it off her, immediately pulling the comforter over her.
"Peej? S'that you?" She mumbled, eyes closed.
"Yeah, Angie, shhh. Go to sleep. You're safe now, all you gotta do is sleep." I whispered, brushing her hair back from her face.
"Mk. Goodnight, Peej."
"Goodnight, Angie." I kissed her forehead lightly, then left the room.
Before I closed the door, I took one small look at the sleeping girl. She looked so young and beautiful.
Am I falling for Angie?
