WAKING UP THE NEXT MORNING, Zuri went to her bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. Heading back to her room she goes through boxes that she had yet to unpack. She goes through each box until she finds an outfit. Finding the right one she puts on some undergarments after taking her pajamas off and slips her shirt and pants on heading down the steps to wait for Jacob."You're up early aren't you?" Xavier asked his sister with cheerios in his mouth.
"Jake and I are hanging out today, he's also going to take me to meet some girl named Bella at her school." Zuri explained to her brother putting on rain boots as the sky looked gloomy.
"So you're going to Forks high school?" He asked putting his spoon down.
"That is where she goes Xavier." Zuri responded with a duh tone.
"Just be careful. I just don't trust her and her little boyfriend." Xavier mentioned pouring another bowl of cereal.
Zuri gave her brother a confused look.
"Why? It's her boyfriend." Zuri asked.
Xavier huffed. "Forget I said anything." He told her going into the living room to sit in front of the TV.
Zuri gave him a confused look again before shaking her head and putting on her jacket. She turned to the window when she heard a horn blow as it was Jacob picking her up.
"See ya later." She told her brother as he waved her off. Before she reached the car the rain came down pouring.
"Ha! I came prepared!" She said aloud pointing to her yellow rain boots. Jake laughed smiling at the girl opening the door for her.
"Thank you sir." She said in a British accent.
"My pleasure m'lady." He replied back mocking her.
Getting into the drivers side he sped off from the girl's home. Zuri looked into the cup holder to see the finished dream catcher.
"Jake! It looks nice." She told him astonished.
"Don't seem so surprised that I could do it." He thanked her.
"You know what I mean." She said slapping his arm.
"So this Bella girl. Her boyfriend?" Zuri asked her friend.
"Why? You want her?" He asked laughing.
"Maybe." Zuri stated seriously.
Jake hit the brakes and gave her a serious look.
"Um..I.I don't know if she'll be interested." Jake stuttered.
"Jake. I know. I was joking." Zuri laughed.
"Apparently, you call dibs." Zuri stated laughing. Pressing on the gas Jake was confused.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked the girl.
"It's obvious that you like this girl." Zuri said observing the way her friend talked about her.
Jake shook his head.
"She has a boyfriend." Zuri stated looking at her friend.
"Yeah, but she just doesn't know that we have more in common than her current boyfriend." Jake stated confidently.
Zuri just nodded not wanting to upset her friend. She turned to look out the window at the scenery crossing to Forks. Pulling up to school Jake parked towards the back away from all the other students.
"There she is." He pointing to the pale girl around a group of people with an even paler boy on the side of her.
"Come on." Jake said getting out the car headed to Bella's direction.
