Chapter 5

We slept early last night, I was busy thinking about the baby again. Why didn't I even mind myself that I was a pregnant lady and I should take responsibility. You're such a failure Kleo!

And yeah, I was starting to overthink again.

I went downstairs and saw Raven getting ready. He was wearing his uniform for his work.

"Kain ka na" he said then looked at his watch.

"Why on a rush? It's 5 AM" I sharpened my look

"Love you!" he casually said leaving the house hurriedly, leaving me speechless.

Wow! That was new.

I went to the dining table to eat the food that Raven cooked. After that I went upstairs to take a shower and wore my clothes for work.

"Manang, I'm going na" paalam ko kay manang

"Ingat, anak" sigaw ni manang

I wasn't late, good thing all of us were in a good mood, ayaw rin ata maka move on sa nangyari 2 days ago.

"Good morning, ma'am!" two of the employees greeted and replied a nod then I smiled at them.

Everyone was doing fine, the smile plaster on their faces won't fade. My phone beep and my face heated.

From: Love

Wanna have a dinner tonight?

Oh my! Did he just invite me for a dinner? I'm flattered. I shouldn't be obvious, I must act like a pregnant woman so he wouldn't notice.

To: Love.

Yes please.

I was acting like a kid, ang immature ko, pwe!

"Madam, Sir Ramos is here to talk to you" Vinnie went inside my office while Levi was behind him.

"Hi, good morning" he let out a smile

"Good morning, Sir" I also smiled back

"I'll just leave na, bye" Vinnie went outside leaving us two in the office.

"What brings you here, Sir?" I asked curiously, is he gonna pay for the proposal?

"I'm not here to pay for the proposal" he said casually. Wait what?! Did he just read my mind? Is he a psychic or something?!

"Uhm...So w-what is it?" I stuttered. Sweats began to form on my forehead.

"I'm here for...Uh, how can I say this.." he whispered but It wasn't enough for me to hear "You're engaged r-right?" he looked at my ring and turned back his gaze on me.

"Yes, Sir" I smiled cutely

"Oh, okay" he was about to stand which made me a little confuse. He was about to leave the office when I ran to him and held his wrist.

"I don't get it, Sir" I was confused

"It was nothing...Nevermind that" he said seriously

"Sir, I ruined your papers, and this is the right time for me to make it up to you" I smiled at him, I mean it was okay for him and I knew na it takes time, so I must make it up to him

"Okay fine, if you insist" he looked at me

"One of my friend owns a company and she's getting married and guess what, she's marrying a business man that also owns a company, they planned to merge their company, so there will be a big celebration about that, I was invited, where you?" Why weren't I invited? Did that company forget about me?

"Don't worry, maybe they sent an invitation and you haven't seen it yet" I took my phone and nothings new.

"Oh, okay" I faced my phone towards him and it made him laugh. "Wow, nagawa mo pa'kong tawanan?"

I was thinking, was Raven's company
Invited?

"Well, atleast you could go now" he smirked which made me confused

"I wasn't invited, how could I go?"

"You'll be my partner, don't worry" he casually said

My mouth shaped like an 'O'. I could
go there and tell them why didn't I received any invitations?

"I'll go there and tell them why the hell did they forget about me?.." I said jokingly, but still grumpy about it. I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes "Or did they do this on purpose?"

"Don't do that, you might lost the reputation of your company" he said worriedly

"It was just a joke." I chuckled "...And yeah, you're right, it might involve the company and the employees" I sighed. It's just that I felt that my company wasn't considered on their plans, I mean I can feel that they're criticizing our company and our employees which made me a little bit grumpy. They actually tried their best and they were the reasons why Sir Ramos accepted our proposal.

"I'll be going now, I've got work to do" he smiled and left my office. Vinnie immediately went inside my office.

"Madam, are you okay?" Vinnie said while a cup of coffee was in her right hand

"Yeah, thanks for worrying" I smiled at her

"Coffee, madam?" she gave me the cup of coffee

"Thank you" I smiled at her. It was a long day, everything went good as usual.

"Madam, una na kami?" Vinnie was with the employees, aalis na sila

"Okay, take care" I was outside the building waiting for Raven to pick me up. I then saw his car coming from my direction, he stopped infront of me and it was my time to get inside his car. He kissed my lips and I replied lightly. I sat properly and was about to take the seatbelt when Raven did it for me.

"This needs to be roomy" he said seriously and that made me prevent my tears to fall. He was cute, he was trying to take care of a fake baby.

The most hurful thing I've done for him is that I was making him believe that our child exists.

"How's work?" he said still focusing on the road.

"Good. As usual" I looked at him then smiled. We ended up talking about his work. Well he has his own company too, he doesn't want to work together with me para di daw hassle. Maybe, he was thinking na it might have a slight problem sa employees, what if he'll gain points in the company and it may lead na I was choosing him because he's my husband, favoritism maybe?

I was also trying to convince him that we could merge our company, but he was quite embarrassed of my family either. Ako daw kasi yung taga pag mana and so it was entrusted to me, that's why he wants me to do it by myself and he'll just find a way. His phone rang and he stopped at the side of the road.

"I'll just take this" he said then he smiled. He went outside the car and his face turned serious. I was worrying a bit. Did something bad happen?

After the phone call he went inside the car and inhaled then exhaled heavily.

"I'll cancel the dinner, I'm sorry"
