Chapter 3 - Oberpfalz Jones?

Going back to school

They arrived back at school shortly before the gate was closed for the night. After dropping their things off in their rooms they settled down for the study session. Sakura had to yawn, "I'm not going to be down here for all that long since this weekend wore me out. I have most of the homework done already and what little is left can wait." She had gotten one of the cans of coffee from a machine and was carefully sipping on it, "I wish they didn't come out quite so hot darn it. They take forever to cool down."

Sam snorted, "Tell me about it. The first can I purchased I burned a lip on and I was not happy. It is usually good coffee though." He looked down at his books and growled at them, "Screw it. I am going upstairs, change into my shorts and collapse on my bed. I am tired and beat not to mention my brain hurts with all the fascinating things we found out this weekend." He stood and stretched before giving Sakura a peck and slouching off.

She had to sigh, "I am pretty sure he feels like his life was dumped in a blender, pureed, and poured out to see what weird shape it turned into." She glanced at Jewel and grinned, "I am sure you understand, right?" She stood and with a grin left the room.

Jewel grumbled but didn't reply. She did understand since she'd felt similar when she arrived in the magical world., "Well I need to find my room and make sure everything is there. I really hate meeting new people and all that. If there is one thing I hate about daddy being in the Navy, it's the constant moving."

Aiko stood up and curled her arm through one of Jewels, "I will help you find it. All the girls are in the same dorm much like all the guys are in one. Well the girls and guys who actually live on school grounds." They walked off.

Adrian shook his head and looked at Chiyo, "I have to say my brain hurts as well. I am going to go and curl up in some warm blankets and fall asleep. Wonder if Sam feels like talking for a while since I'm still confused about a few things."

Chiyo groaned slightly as she stretched, "Same here, I might just find a closet to hide in and haunt for the night." She gave him a wry grin at that joke and left the room.

Adrian followed her out of the lounge and went up to his room and walked in. When he did he was startled to find Sam resting on his bed, "Adrian you mind if we relax and just talk? I need the companionship and hope you don't mind."

Adrian pretended to look offended, "Oh noes, there is a boy in my bed asking to cuddle, whatever shall I do?" With a shake of his head he pulled out some shorts and quickly changed. His dirty clothes were tossed into the hamper and he stretched and groaned, "Actually not really, I don't mind that is. While you were gone last night the three of us curled up on one of the sleeper beds while Chiyo's mother was in the other. It was a nice way to sleep." He urged Sam to get off the bed for a moment and crawled in under the covers.

Sam moved when Adrian asked him to though he did make a face and rolled his eyes, "Seriously dude I simply wanted to talk and you are making bad jokes?" Once Adrian was under the covers Sam flopped on top and stretched and groaned, "So what questions do you have? I am sure you have as many as I do."

Adrian started laughing when Sam asked him what questions he had, "I think a better way of putting it is what questions don't I have?" He rolled on his side and looked at Sam with blazing curiosity on his face, "Okay, start with the boy/girl thing. I know you talked about it some but I am still confused."

Sam had to groan, "Tell me about it. Um, mom is the Queen of the Magical Lands. Due to this I am her heir. Sakura will actually be the queen and I will be her husband. I guess they don't use the term king since it is run by women. When I came over before turning 18 who I would be was sort of in flux?" He had to scratch his head at that, "Anyways when I did come over MG Central was alerted and they dropped my tool on me... I mean my Magical Item on me. She didn't realize who I was. Why I don't know but she didn't. When she changed me I turned into a girl. I didn't know anything about the whole Magical land thing. It simply hadn't come up for some reason."
