All human At 16 Elena's Parents and Brother got into a car accident body's burned. She was supposed to be in that car. They were all going out together but instead she was with her boyfriend. Her family owns Mystic Falls since her grandparents bought it. After her paretns and brother died the council put her into hiding. She went and lived in her parents house that was on top of the hill. She stayed there her aunt visiting often. She was in protective custody for her saftey. After a week of being there she learned that she was pregnant. She never told anyone. her aunt hired a former Army who couldn't have kids and was welll trained to be a nanny knowing Elena still had a lot of decisions to make cause she now owns the city by default.
