Adam's: POV

It was not hard to find the school and most of the students had arrived. I parked my car and went out into the rain. I noticed a silvery volvo that was parked and my car felt very old.

I went into the school after I had got the map and looked around. "You're Adam Swan, right?" asked a guy. "Yes." I said. "Nice to meet you, my name is Isaac Carpenter." he presented. "Nice to meet you as well." I said with a smile.

He introduced me to his friends and they were nice. "I know how it feels to move to a new place." said Terrance. "Everything will be alright." replied Cam. "I hope you're right." I said with a sigh. "Let him breathe, guys." replied Ashley strictly.

We went to the lessons and it was at lunch when I saw them. They sat at a round table far away from everyone. Everyone had a plate of untouched food and they didn't talk to each other.

"Who are they?" I asked. "The Cullens." said Isaac quietly. "They are Dr. Cullen and Mrs. Cullen foster kids." explained Cam. "The blonde girl is Rosalie and the little dark haired girl is Alice." said Terrance. "The big guy is Emmett and the guy who looks like he's in pain is Jasper." replied Ashley.

Then turned a guy around and looked at me. He had bronze hair and pale skin.

"Who's he?" I asked curiously. "That's Edward Cullen." said Cam. "Very good looking, but apparently no guy is good for him." she said. "Seriously, don't waste your time on him." replied Terrance. "I wasn't planning on." I said.

After lunch we had biology and I passed a fan when I came in. Edward looked coldly at me and he covered his mouth with his hand. I sat down next him and smelled on my hair. It smelled coconut from my favorite schampoo.

Edward rushed out when the bell rang and I head him talk to a teacher. "I understand, thanks anyway." he said short and left. It's not fair, why is he so mean to me? I haven't done anything to him. I didn't see him the rest of the day and that was just as good.

"How was your day?" asked dad when I got home. "Okay, I got new friends." I said and he smiled. "Do you know the Cullens?" I asked. "Dr. Cullen's family? sure, Dr. Cullen's a great man." said Charlie. "They... the kids... are a little different. They don't seem to fit in very well at school." I replied. He surprised me by looking angry.

"People in this town." he muttered. "Dr. Cullen is a brilliant surgeon who could probably work in any hospital in the world, make ten times the salary he gets here." he continued, getting louder. "We lucky to have him, lucky that his wife wanted to live in a small town. He's an asset to the community, and all of those kids are well behaved and polite. I had my doubts when they first moved in, with all those adopted teenagers. I thought we might have some problems with them. But they're all very manture, I haven't had one speak of trouble from any of them. That's more than I can say for the children of some folks who have lived in this town for generations. And they stick together the way a family should, camping trips every other weekend... Just because they're newcomes, people have to talk." said Charlie.

It was the longest speech I'd ever heard Charlie make. He must feel strongly about whatever people were saying.

"They seemed nice enough to me, I just noticed they kept to themselves. They're all very attractive." I said. "You should see the doctor. replied dad laughing. It's a good thing he's happily married. A lot of the nurses at the hospital have a hard time concentrating on their work with him around." he said.

Adam is Bella in this book.
