Chapter 17

Jacob smirked and decided to tease her a little.

“Oh TY, you have no idea how beautiful you are.” Cathy glared at him and rolled her eyes.

“I’ve told you to stop calling me TY.” Cathy said ignoring his little stunt. She was quite annoyed at that name, she wonders why he calls her that.
Jacob smiled seeing Cathy’s expression.

“Of course I won’t. It’s the personal nickname I have for you. Only I get to call you that.” Cathy rolled her eyes again.

“So where’re we goi…” Cathy got interrupted by another voice.

“Oh gosh!! Jacob, is that you?” The voice squealed again very loudly irking Cathy.

“Will you shut up?! He’s Jacob and he’s sitting here, you don’t have to get me deaf.”

Jacob glanced at Cathy before looking at the owner of the new voice, it was Bella. The first friend he made at the orphanage he got sent to after Cathy lost her memories. He didn’t lose contact with her even after he got adopted until he entered college.

“Hey Bella, how’re you?” He smiled at her but Bella wasn’t having it. She ran to him, pulled him up and hugged him.

Cathy turned away from them and picked a random game on her phone to play, giving them time to talk. Jacob saw this and decided to introduce them to each other.

“Okay Bella. This is Cathy, a very close friend and Cathy, this is Bella, a childhood friend of mine.”

Cathy didn’t even bother to look up from her game. Bella seeing this glanced at Jacob with worry.

“Don’t worry, she can be like this sometimes.” Jacob awkwardly said. It was quite obvious Cathy didn’t like Bella, the main reason being she almost got her deaf.

“Well, you are Bella, I am Cathy. I would say nice to meet you but that will be a lie and I am too lazy for that. Next time you scream, take note of your surroundings first, you have quite a loud voice.” Yes, she was very upset about the screaming. She turned to Jacob. “Since you childhood friends met each other, I will leave you two to a happy reunion. Have fun, I have an assignment to complete.” She saw no reason to stay since Miss happy face got here and Jacob has someone to accompany him. Before Jacob could object, Cathy left the coffee shop.

Cathy didn’t go to the campus, she went to the beach to get cool ocean breeze. She laid under one of the umbrella stands, she got a sundress, sunblock and sunshades at a shop nearby and she was just enjoying the atmosphere in the beach.

“Catherine.” A voice nearby yelled her name, she turned to see the person and when she registered the person, she gasped. “Father.” She said rather coldly.

At Campus: Economics building: 9:45 am

“Anna!” Tyler yelled trying to catch up to Brianna.

Brianna hearing ‘Anna’ ignored it thinking someone was calling someone else. Tyler eventually caught up to her and pulled her to turn around.
“Anna, I have been calling you since.”

“Anna?” Brianna raised an eyebrow at the nickname amused.

“Yeah, my new nickname for you.” Brianna smiled.

“Do what you wish. So, what are you doing here? Your building is far from here.” Tyler is Jacob’s course mate. The Civil Engineering building is far from Economics building, their buildings are literally at opposite sides of the school.

“I was missing you.” Tyler stole a kiss from her, she playfully glared at him.

“You saw me yesterday night when you dropped me after the date.”
