The exchange student(Tododeku)

Are you gay?

A/N: I'm sorry if this sucks, I'm struggling writing this because it's very different from the actual show and it's difficult to write them as strangers who hardly like each other, instead of being in love. If this sounds rushed I'm just trying to get to the good part, so sorry about that. I'm listening to Hayley Kiyoko and I'm living for it:)

Todoroki's POV: 

I tossed and turned in my bed, then shot up remembering where I was. I looked beside me and saw a sleeping green-haired stranger. I groaned at the uncomfortable cheap mattress and the thin walls with cars speeding outside his window. I slipped out of his bed and quietly changed and got myself ready for the school day. I walked downstairs, not even thinking about breakfast because it's usually prepared for me by the maids working for my father as soon as I wake up. I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket in the kitchen and sat down on the couch pulling out a book I had brought with me. I heard someone come down the hall and saw Midoriya in his uniform, his hair just as crazy as when he woke up. He awkwardly prepared himself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the kitchen table to eat it, he practically inhaled the cereal, washed the bowl quickly then reached for his backpack and the door handle, "come on we'll be late," he said shutting the door behind him. I grabbed my bag, which was empty, and slipped my apple in it and the book I was reading to make it less empty. I opened the door and locked it on my way out, then ran to catch up to Midoriya. We walked in silence to the school, then approached a giant school campus with two huge buildings and a large gate out front. We entered the gate and Midoriya immediately dispersed finding a small brown-haired girl and a tall boy with glasses, then another small green-haired girl. 

"Hey, Deku's refusing to introduce us to you, wait a second, I think I know you, hey you're that kid on social media, don't you model and stuff? And what are you even doing here?" The small brown-haired girl asked me excitedly. "Good morning, I'm Todoroki, and yes I do model... and stuff," I said trying my hardest to act soft so she would like me. "Ooh, you're like mysterious and all, you know you're cool looking, is that eyeliner? And why do you have so many piercings?" She asked. "Thank you, and yes it is eyeliner. I'm not sure why I have them, I liked them and my agent thought they would fit me well," I explained calmly. "Woah, cool. Oh I'm Uraraka by the way, and that's Iida," she said pointing to the tall guy with glasses, "and that's my girlfriend Tsu," she said pointing to the tiny green-haired girl. They noticed and waved, then started walking over dragging Midoriya by the wrist. "Why are you trying to hide this kid, he seems chill. Wait- is he your boyfriend Deku?!?" Uraraka asked. Midoriya almost choked on his own throat, "no no no, no fricken way, this is Todoroki, I met him yesterday. He's an exchange student from Hokkaido, and he's staying at my house," Midoriya explained, I nodded calmly. "I have a lot of questions to ask you Midoriya," I said curiously, "uh...okay?" he responded kind of puzzled, "like now?" he said after a little while. I nodded then walked towards a tree, Uraraka, Tsu, and Iida took that as their cue to leave, and Midoriya came over to me. "What do you need?" he asked nicely. "You're gay? And why do they call you Deku? Also is your hair naturally green or is it dyed?" I spilled out, this boy is a very curious person so I couldn't help but wonder these things. "Oh, heh heh, yeah, I'm gay, they call me Deku because it was my nickname from Kacchan when I was young, and yeah, it's natural," he said with a nervous smile. A gay kid with naturally green hair, who's nickname means 'useless person' damn, I can see why people are always bullying him, not that any of those things are bad, except for the nickname thing, but he does seem like an easy target, not to mention how tiny the kid is. "Can I ask a few questions?" he asked shyly, "sure," I responded. "Are you gay? Is the red and white hair natural? And how did you get your scar?" I flinched at the questions he asked, not sure how to answer most of them, "My hair is natural," I said quickly then walked away and headed to the office to get settled into the school. 

Midoriya's POV:

"Are you gay? Is the red and white hair natural? And how did you get your scar?" I asked him. For the first time, I saw a different expression on his face than he'd had in the past two days, some sort of worry, or shock. "My hair is natural," he said then walked away without even answering the other questions. "uh-" is all I could get out before he was gone. I shook it off and headed to my homeroom class, "Good morning Midoriya," a few people said and waved towards me as I entered the room and took my seat behind Kacchan, "where's your little dog Deku," he whispered to me. Kacchan never talked to me at school if he wasn't beating me up or yelling at me, so I was shocked when he turned around and whispered at me. "What? Todoroki? He's not my dog," I said back, Kirishima overheard us, "who's Todoroki? Did Midoriya get a dog?"  Kacchan rolled his eyes, "Shut the fuck up shitty hair we're having a conversation," He said angrily still whispering, "why are we whispering?" Kirishima asked whispering too. When he left I gave Kacchan a smug look referring to him and Kirishima, which pissed him off and he stomped on my foot under the table.

 Aizawa walked in telling us all to shut up and began his lesson, after about 20 minutes he announced that we would be having a new student for the rest of the school year, Kirishima turned to me with an "oh" look on his face when he heard the students name. I looked up and saw Todoroki standing inside the door frame, for some reason, I smiled when I saw him, almost like it was instinct. Kacchan scoffed and slumped down into his chair. Todoroki waved to me, then took a seat in the back, everyone in the class stared at me when he did this, which made me blush from all the attention. Kacchan passed me a note, saying to meet him outside the hallway at the end of class, I sighed but agreed. After the long class period I went up to Kacchan after everyone had left, "what do you need Kacchan?" I asked nicely, "you're an idiot you know, you seriously can't see how that piece of shit looks at you!" I tilted my head wearing a confused expression, "how long has that rich brat known you, literally less than 24 hours, and he's already latched onto you like a damn worm!?" I shrugged still looking confused, so he rolled his eyes and marched out of the classroom leaving me alone. I shook it off and walked happily to the cafeteria to meet my friends. "Hello Midoriya," Todoroki said peering in front of me in the hallways, "oh, hi Todoroki," I said flashing him a quick smile, "the food here is bad, do you know if they serve any soba?" he asked, "oh, yeah I'm pretty sure they do, I'm about to head over to the cafeteria myself. If you haven't already made friends, there's room at my table," I told him, "Oh, okay." he said then turned and walked towards the cafeteria ahead of me. He walked with his hands in his pockets and didn't really pick up his feet, in a kind of sluggish manner. If I hadn't known who he was or where he'd come from, I'd assume he had a lot of trouble weighing him down, but he's Shoto Todoroki, the luckiest teenager in Japan. For some reason I felt a sort of pity for him though, this must be a hard transition from his fancy daily life. I stopped thinking about it realizing that Todoroki was already gone and I'd been standing here for way too long thinking about this guy I didn't even know. 'Come on Izuku, push it down,' I thought to myself, still confused as to what exactly I was pushing down. 

A/N: Sorry if this chapter was boring. I'm going to try and do something interesting to get the story going in the next chapter. I'm still not entirely sure where I'm going to take this story, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Anyways, have a wonderful day:3
