"Why shouldn't I?"

Y/N POV

I wake up still feeling tired, I was up with Daphne and Pansy until 3 am yesterday talking about everything that's going on so we can all catch up on each other's life. I told them what happened on that night when Draco was drunk but I didn't tell them about the note I got yesterday.

I was the only one awake, Pansy and Daphne were still sleeping. I checked the time before getting up from my bed '12:00 pm' shit. I get up from my bed, I decide to stay in my pj's it's a black shirt with dark green and black plaid PJ pants.

"You two wake up and your asses up cmon! cmon! cmon! we've got a big day today! don't you wanna be with Theo today Pansy look all good for him and what about Bletchley he'll love to see you before the ball if you know what I mean, so get up!" I say to both of them.

"Okay okay just shut up," Daphne says "perfect," I say as I walk into the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair.

Once I walk out of the bathroom I see Pansy still in bed but Daphne is up "should we spill water on her?" Daphne whispers to me "definitely" I whisper back as I grab a cup and go back into the bathroom to fill it up with water.

We walk over to Pansy quietly and Daphne spills the water onto her face "you bitch!" Pansy says getting up right away "at least it worked," I say with a smirk on my face "I'll meet you two downstairs, don't take too long," I say as I leave the room.

I reach the bottom of the stairs and there he is. Draco Malfoy with some other guys and girls flirting with him all on the couches. I look away from Draco to see Adrian coming up to me.

"hey, did you sleep well? you look exhausted" Adrian asks and kisses my cheek "yeah, I just stayed up late with Daphne and Pansy," I say "are you okay? you keep on looking at Malfoy and then back at me" Adrian says "oh- um, yeah I'm okay I just need to speak to him about something" I say "oh okay, did he do something bad?" Adrian asks "no don't worry," I say as I hug him then give him a kiss on the cheek before walking over to Draco.

DRACO'S POV

There she was standing in front of the girl's dorms stairs. I wanted to walk up to her but again Pucey beat me to it. He's acting like they're dating giving her a kiss on the cheek and being overprotective, I can't stand him.

I see her walking over to me as I begin talking to a girl next to me so I could act like I don't see her. "Draco," y/n says softly "hmm?" I say looking up at her "can we talk? about that letter?" y/n asks as I nod "—privately" she adds as she takes my hand and pulls me away from the group of people and brings me to the back corner of the common room.

"what about the letter? I was drunk when I wrote it when I wrote all of it completely drunk" I say as I'm embarrassed from the letter "well what if I like you?" she asks looking up into my eyes "well you obviously don't" I say staring back into her eyes.

Y/N POV

After those words left his mouth all I wanted to do was kiss him so he knows I really do like him but before I could lean in he started talking again "I have to go to my date for the ball, you know? check how she is, make sure she's not sick" Draco says "um, yeah yeah okay," I say as I nod. God, I hate this.
