hello! hope you guys enjoy hehe

Lapis hummed quietly as she gave each of her succulents a spritz of water using her spray bottle. She knew that if she over watered them, they would dry out and die quickly. She definitely did not want to do that, these plants were her pride and joy.

She had always been known to love plants, hell she even had some when she was hardly able to take care of them. Most of her plants died off since she didn't pay attention to them, but she has now learned that she needs to keep an eye on them.

Lapis Lazuli is also a self taught artist, as well as an amazing surfer. (At least she thinks she's amazing.) She LOVES, and I mean LOVES to paint and draw her succulents. She sells her art to buy more plants and art supplies. Lapis could move out of her small apartment if she wanted to, but she was happy in her cozy little place.

She always visited her absolute favorite flower shop, Homeworld Flowers. It was an hour drive from her apartment, but she made the drive to it weekly. Lapis was very friendly with all of the workers there, and they always planned ahead to when Lapis would come in. They always made sure Lapis would get the finest plants.

Recently, Lapis noticed a new employee at the shop. A short, blonde, and pale skinned cutie started working there a few weeks prior to Lapis's next visit. The blonde always was behind the counter ringing people up, or she was watering the plants just enough. Seemed like she knew her stuff about plants. Lapis wanted to be her friend, but being the raging lesbian she was; she also wanted to be more then just her friend. She just had to figure out how to talk to her first.

Lapis rode the elevator down to her buildings parking garage on a crisp fall morning. She got into her beat up Jeep and set on her way to Homeworld Flowers.

She blasted her favorite songs on the way, and even rolled down her windows as she drove. It was starting to get a bit warmer as the sun peeked out of the clouds ever so often, but the chilly fall air was definitely still there.

It took Lapis an hour and thirty minutes to get to the shop today due to traffic on the expressway. She pulled into the parking lot and got out of her car, the friendly staff waiting for her to come in.

"Ah! Lapis Lazuli is back again!" Pearl hummed as she walked over to her. "We just got a shipment of cacti and hanging plants, I know you like those!" She smiled and pointed Lapis in the direction of the new stock.

Lapis nodded and smiled. "Goodmorning, Pearl. I'm very happy to be here this morning as usual." She walked over to the new plants and started to pick a few out.

As she was thinking to herself about which plant to pick, The blonde employee walked over.

"Do you need help finding anything?" The blonde asked quietly, her voice hardly even above a whisper. She must be shy.

"Oh! Hi." Lapis turned to look at her. "I'm good, thank you though..." She paused for a moment and read the girls name tag. "Peridot." She finished her sentence and smiled.

Peridot looked down at her name tag then back up at Lapis. She gave a small nod and made her way back to the register to ring up another customer.

"Hm." Lapis watched Peridot walk off. She then continued to pick out her plants.

Once she decided on the ones she was going to buy, she walked over to the counter where Peridot was. She placed three plants on the counter and pulled out her wallet as Peridot rung her items up.

"Find everything alright?" Peridot spoke up, a bit louder this time. Seemed like she was getting confident with Lapis.

"Mhm, Thanks for asking if I needed anything earlier." She smiled at her. "I know this place pretty well though, been coming here every week for awhile. I'm like a plant enthusiast." She laughed.

This earned a small chuckle from Peridot, which made Lapis smile. The blonde was definitely cute in her eyes, she had a perfect smile, pretty eyes, and... Oops, she trailed off. "Sorry what was that?"

"I said, would you like a bag or a carrier for these?" Peridot looked up at her after pulling Lapis's change from the register.

Lapis shook her head. "No, I'm alright. Thank you though. See you next week, Peridot." She quickly grabbed her items and left the store, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of the short blonde. She put her new plants into her car and drove off to find something for breakfast.
