On the way home from the flower shop, Lapis stopped in at this small cafe to get a donut and an iced coffee.

Her ex Jasper worked there, so she tried her best to avoid her. She definitely did NOT want to see her right now. It would ruin her good mood.

"Well, looks like the brats back. Come to see me?" Jasper smirked at her.

Great. Lapis grumbled quietly and went up to the cash register that Jasper wasn't at. That's where her other friend Sadie worked. "Hi Sadie, can I please get my usual?"

"Of course, Lapis." Sadie smiled and tapped a few buttons on her screen. "It'll be up in a few!"

Lapis nodded then walked off to wait for her food and drink. She prayed Jasper wouldn't go on her break and come harass her like she usually would.

"Well, looks like I'm on break now." Jasper walked over to Lapis. "Waiting for your donut and coffee?"

Lapis about lost her shit before Sadie called her name for her food. She walked over to the counter, grabbed her bag of donuts and her coffee. "Thank you." She mumbled to Sadie then turned on her heel to leave.

"Aw, Cmon sweetheart. Don't ignore me." Jasper started to follow her, thinking that Lapis would sit down and eat per usual.

She had enough. Lapis spun around and glared at Jasper. "I am in a good mood today, Jasper! I am not letting you ruin it, alright? So please, just shut the fuck up." And with that, she left the cafe and stormed to her car.

Jasper was stunned and well embarrassed now too. The entire cafe was looking at her now. She grumbled to herself then walked back to the kitchen to clock back into work.

Once Lapis reached her car, she let herself relax as she sat down in the familiar leather covered seat. She locked her car doors and opened her bag of donuts to start munching on them.

She finished two donuts before she closed the bag and set off for her journey back home. Part of her wasn't ready to leave to go back home though, she wanted to see that Peridot girl some more.

But, she had the plants in her car and they needed to get sunlight before it got dark. So Lapis put her car in drive and drove home, listening to music as she did.
