-sorry, im very behind on updates... i have been really busy and havent been able to think of ways to better the story from here...-

Jungkook arrived at school at his normal time wishing that he didn't have to show up today. He didn't want to run into any of his friends, but he was sure it was bound to happen since he shares a couple of classes with Jimin. Even though he has only known the boy for three days, he knows how he will react.

The first class goes by with a few stares but nothing too extreme for the boy; he was used to being stared at. The second, he shared with Jimin. He thought about hiding out in the bathroom for the class period; however, he knew it would be pointless since he saw him at lunch.

Jungkook managed to get to class before the boy and grab a window seat so maybe he could hide the bruise a little. When Jimin came in, he automatically noticed how the boy was hunched over uncomfortably and had his hand rested on half of his face. He took a seat and immediately turned to Jungkook, "Okay, what is this?"

Jungkook shrugged and acted like he didn't know what Jimin was talking about. "Oh, come on. Kook, I might have only known you for a few days but nobody wants to purposefully sit like that and cover almost their entire face." Jungkook shrugged again before taking out a notebook and writing on it.

"I guess I'm the only one then. :D" Jungkook laughed at his response while Jimin huffed out a frustrated sigh. "Alright fine. You can't hide forever."

During the class, Jimin kept taking small glances at the boy to see if he would lower his guard. He did at one point but that only resulted in him laying the side of his face on his arm and drifting to sleep. Jimin sighed at the sleeping boy and wondered what was so important for him to hide it. He wanted to know what was going on. Soon, the time came for Jungkook to wake up so Jimin shook to boy's shoulders telling him he needs to wake up. "Jungkook, c'mon. You need to get up before the teacher gets mad at us for not leaving the classroom."

The boy groaned and turned his head the other way snuggling closer into his arms. "Jungkook! What the hell is this?! Is this what you were hiding?" Jungkook shot up at the tone in Jimin's voice. Shit. Well, I guess he found out.

Jungkook slowly nodded and looked down not meeting the other's gaze. Jimin slowly moved his hand and placed it under Jungkook's chin to move his head, careful not to hurt the younger. "Alright. Come with me," Jimin sighed. "I can help you."

Jungkook already knew what he was talking about. It's not hard to tell that Jimin wears makeup; he told Jungkook that it makes him feel more confident and pretty. The boy dragged the younger into a bathroom and moved him to the sink. "You're lucky I always carry concealer on me. Now let's get this covered up."

-

Jungkook was grateful for Jimin's concealer but it wasn't going to hide anything once he washes his face at home. He wanted to avoid his mom; however, she was already suspicious of something being wrong. He had to think of a lie and soon. He has never been beaten this bad by Daeshim before, at least not on his face. It was typically somewhere hidden.

He got to the front of his house and saw that his mom was home. Thankfully, his bruise was still covered but he had to come down to eat soon. I can just shower when I get done eating. Yeah, that way she won't know.

He greeted his mother with a smile and she beamed back at him, "Hey honey! How was school," she signed to the boy. "It was good. When will the food be ready?"

"Soon, is there something you need to do?" She looked at Jungkook questionably and turned to the counter, pulling something out of the fridge. Jungkook waited for her to turn back to him before signing to her.

"Ah, no," Jungkook took in a breath. "I was just wondering."

"Okay, I will call for you when it's ready." His mom smiled and turned her back to him and started cooking.

The boy continued his way up to his room and sat his stuff in the desk chair. Jungkook sighed and laid on his bed, pulling his phone out to scroll through social media. He always found it interesting how people lived on their phones. He wasn't very fond of them if he was being honest.

He must have been scrolling for a while without realizing since his mom called for him to eat not long after. His hearing aids were still in so he could hear her calls. He always wondered why she didn't talk to him while he signed but she always responded with the same thing: 'I want to be able to communicate with you the way you communicate with everyone else.'

Jungkook loves his mom dearly but sometimes he wishes she wouldn't try and go so far with him being mute. He doesn't really hear her voice that much anymore, only when she is talking with other people; it mostly happens when Jungkook isn't around. The boy tries to get his mom to understand he wants her to talk to him instead unless he doesn't have his hearing aids in.

They eat in silence for the most part until Jungkook's mom starts signing to him, "I have a business trip to go on soon and I wanted to see if you would come with me? I leave in three days." Okay, he wasn't expecting that one. His mom hasn't gone on a business in almost 2 years.

"Where are you going and why?" Jungkook looked at his mom with slight discomfort. "I'm going to the states for a week because they need me to do an innovation meeting with the CEO of a company since I have been given a promotion."

Jungkook's eyes widened, "A promotion? That's great!"

"It is! That's why I'm asking if you want to come with me. You haven't been to the states and I'm sure you are interested." Jungkook sighed, his mom really didn't remember.

The boy shook his head, eyes cast down. "I can't remember? You would have to go by plane and I can't go up to that altitude with this."

"Oh my god! Jungkook I didn't even think about it! I'm so sorry honey!" Her eyes widened and a sad look spreading across her face.

"It's fine. I'll excuse myself now." Jungkook sighed and grabbed his dish and rinsed it off. He went to his bedroom and dropped onto the bed. It was going to be a long night.
