"Sebastian, wake up Sebastian!" Was the sound he heard amidst black as he woke up with a start, eyes blurred of tears as he seemed to regain some sort of conscious. Helios was holding him tight, as if restraining yet also embracing the other. They could only react with a start, hissing with a headache as they tried to pull away.

"Let.. let go of me!" He managed to word out, only for Helios to look at them with eyes of relief as they pulled away, still clutching their hands on them like some sort of doll.

"Sebastian, thank goodness your awake!" He could only say before putting the other down as they kicked away, his voice seeming to shift from relief to a bit of anger as the other dust themselves shakily. "What we're you thinking? Running away and coming back here of all places?! We've been worried sick!"

The other could only freeze at that. His blood seeming to boil from what could only be adrenaline and a growing anger amidst the sadness trying to show up.

"Well maybe you should of just brought me back instead of keeping me locked up? W-what even was the stupid point of all this anyways?! Where you just trying to hide this?!" He yelled in midst of a stifled voice as he pointed to the door, summoning a scythe unconsciously from the deep darkness that stirred within him.
"W-What happened to Erick?"

The other froze, not saying a word.

"Tell me!" He yelled as he slashed his scythe at them wildly, only to be blocked by the other's wings, Helios breathing heavily underneath them.

"Sebastian.. calm down.."

But the other would not, as if something inside him snapped his body acted relentlessly and swiftly against the other, eyes covered by a mask of white that melded on their face.

"Sebastian.. he's not here. He's doesn't exist anymore." Helios said softly, yet the other could not, would not listen, fighting against him. So Helios sighed as he muttered something underneath his breath. As quickly as his words were spoken his wings shifted, growing as they formed a long web at the back that entwined and solidified into a long red tail. Quickly grabbing ahold of the other as they brought them down to the ground.

"Sebastian, he's gone! H-He's no longer here.." He spoke as he clutched the other tight. Sebastian could only struggle for a moment more as he was squeezed before tears gently began to well up as he regained some sort of conscious.

"Your lying.. Your lying... T-That thing.. that thing is Erick.. I-it's him.." Sebastian could barely say in between breaths as he was given a bit of air by Helios releasing him lightly. Helios only gave a shaky sigh in reply, before beginning to slowly drag the other seeing them calmed down.

"That isn't him Sebastian.. That thing may have his soul but his life is gone.."

"W-what is it then? Why does it have his memory? Why does it have his feeling?..."

"That.. is a rampant. A being that forms inside like a parasite and feeds off the being, corrupting them and feeding off more and more magic at the person's expense." Helios spoke softly. "To get more magic it often mimics the being to get those close to it and to continue spreading corruption"

Sebastian just heard, not speaking a word until the other dragged him on before he murmured. "If it's a lie then why did h-it feel so true? Why did it feel like him?."

"It was just trying to consume you... I'm sorry Sebastian.. We didn't want you to see this..."

"I-Is there anyway to save him?.. If it has his soul, their has got to be someway, that's why he's not dead right? Right?" Sebastian began to stutter, trying not to well up tears but he was slowly becoming numb as his denial overtook him.

"I'm sorry.. there is no way.."

"But you.. one of you has to have that ability right? Aren't you gods? Stronger beings? You must-"

"He's gone! Stop trying Sebastian!" They growled, grabbing the boy's hand to pull him up from the messy floor now. "Don't you think I would of tried to save him if I could?!"

With that Sebastian stifled to hold in a sob, yet that sob quickly turned to anger combined with a hidden fear as he looked to the taller being, scythe clattering on the ground as he pulled and tugged away from them.

"I won't stop... not ever.." He murmured as he looked to the hall, the light blue glow petering out as they walked off.

"Everyone deserves a second chance.. that's what he taught me..."

"Helios... you said Rampants don't show true emotions right?.."

"If you think you saw any life in him.. stop. It was probably your imagination. I already told you-"

"But I saw something, sadness, fear, curiosity. It wasn't my imagination! He's still in there I know it!

"No Rampant has ever kept the sanity of their host Sebastian, has never had true emotion. Just give it up! Remember what he told you. Don't look back. So listen for once and stop dwelling in the past!"

Sebastian went quiet after that, not wanting to argue even further as he forced himself to walk faster despite the pain in his body from being dragged. Grumbling to himself as he picked up his weapon and began to walk quickly so he could get away from Helios.

"Sebastian.." Helios called back.

"Get away from me Dog" he sneered, calling him the vile nickname he had gifted him the day they first met years ago. Walking back to the open parts of the laboratory and to the broken down portal.

Surprisingly Helios didn't follow him as he walked to what was deemed the living room to him. The couch still there, dirty. He looked over to each door, runes broken to never open again. The floor had smashed vials, dust of different colors, like glitter on the floor. He walked to his little corner, the broken down crevice which he stashed his things. Looking deeper he grabbed a on diary, worn away, papers slightly crisp from water damage. Putting the book in his pocket he tapped his bracelet against the door, opening it up as he ran outside to get away, to go and find someplace to stay to keep him from getting caught again.

He didn't really know where he was going however, running blindly to where his body would take him.
