Chapter 8 : Karwa Chauth

Sidharth :Hui na jealous tu aaj ??
With a broad smile in his face.
Sana with confusion : matlab ??
Sidharth : Tujhe sach me rashmi se bhi problem hai ?? Kyun ?? Tujhe pata hai na where she stand for me?? Nowhere
Sana : bakwas bandh kar apni..sachchi sachi bataa kyun bulaya tha us rashmi ( mocking ) ne
Sid : mere laal tomator madam uska bhai kisi police case me faas gaya and she didn't able to get him out.To mere kuch pehchaan ke lawyer se baat karwa dia.isiliye bas.Ab khush
Sana acting as disinterest: meko kya farak padta hai..hmmm...throwing tantrums while going inside.
Sudharth smiling : kameeni ( in a positive way).
Next Day.It's morning tym and Sana was talking to Rita Aunty abt sumthing.Sidharth came out from room after completing his sleep.Sana has a paper in her hand.While drinking water from kitchen Sidharth heard Sana's voice.
Sana : mehendi wali ko phone karna hai maine.Warna wo to booked ho jayegi.
Aunty : Tu chinta mat kar,maine neetu ko bol dia usne book kar lia hoga.
Sid : Kya cheese discuss kar rahe ho tumlog with curiosity
Aunty : kuch nehi bas parso karwa chauth hai to Sana rakhegi is baar to kya kya samaan lagega we are noting down beta
Sid : kya ?? Yeh sab kyun ??
Sana : kyun matlab...are vrat hai ....rakhna hota hai pati ke liye
Sid : haan to shaadi ke baad rakh lena...abhi yeh sab mat kar..
After sum seconds he again said in loud voice : aur tu..tu to karna hi mat yeh sab fasting...tujhe yaad hai na teri tabiat kharap hui thi do din pehle...to faltu ka mat kar
(It was her 1st karwa chauth as one of Sana's distant relative expired previous year,so she couldn't do )
Sana with pout : yaar maine karna hai..mera pehla hai..mummy batao na isko...
Aunty : karne de na...jab iska mann hai to
Sid : mummy aap ke ladd me yeh itni chad gayi...do din pehle jo iska tabiat kharap hua wo nehi yaad kisiko
Sana while sitting on sofa with aunty and with a cute voice said : tujhe kya pata punjaban k liye kitna importanttt hota hai yeh din...marathi kahin ka..maine rakhna hai bas...keh dia maine...
Aunty laughed out loud after her words.
Sana : tera muh tod dena maine agar tune nehi karne dia
Sid in agry mode : Faltu bakwas subah subah pasand nehi mujhe..samajh aaya na...marna hoga to aise hi mar jayunga koi vrat kaam nehi ayega...
Just he said abt death immediately atmosphere changed.
Aunty : Sidharth
Sana didn't utter a word,she just gave a look to Sidharth and went to kitchen.Sid didn't noticed that Sana's eyes are teary.
Aunty after Sana left : tune hi kaha tha ke yeh uska ghar hai..to uski cheeso pe rok tok kyun laga raha hai ab
Sid : Mummy uski tabiat sahi nehi hai..bachi hai wo..nehi kia kabhi..achanak rakhegi to tabiat bigar jayegi..
Aunty : Bachi nehi hai wo,tujhse jyada samajdar hai..tujhse jyada kadar hai use rishton ki..isiliye rishta nibha rahi hai..kuch cheeso ke bareme tum mard kabhi nehi samajh paaoge...
And she left.
Sana is thinking in kitchen : kabhi nehi rakha kabhiii bhi nehi..kisi ke liye nehi..bf to bane hi the...pehli baar sidharth me mujhe wo insaan dikha jo maine humesha se dhundi hu..usne khud bola ke bada hai mere se kitna..to main nehi chahti use khona..main chahti hu rab ji ke mere umar sidharth ko lag jaye to humari age barabar ho jayegi ( such a pure soul she is )..to kya hua uske liye thode khana chod na pade ekdin..par yeh kutta samajhta hi nehi...aise kyun bolta hai...usko kyun nehi ata samajh uske bina main nehi rahungi..maine mar jana uske bina..itne mushkil se to mila mujhe..ab nehi kho sakti...she started crying unknowingly..
Sid enters in the kitchen and sana hide her tears and started doing things.
Sid understood she is upset.So he came close to her and Sana understood that he wants to pacify so she said : mummy ke paas ja rahi hu,kaam hai and trying to left.
But Shukla ji got no chill. Immediately stopped her and make her sit on his lap.He always do when he needs to pacify her.
Sid holding Sana's chin : tujhe dukhi karunga main??nehi na. Tere liye hi bolta hu..kya haq rakhna tujhe bura lag raha hai Shehnaaz ?.
Sana burst in tears.She gathered all her emotions and hugged him : Sidharth mujhe tujhe chod ke nehi jane dena.Maine tujhe apne paas lock karna hai
Sid smiled : kya karna hai ?
Sana : lock karna hai.
Sid : kaise baby ?
Sana : take tu bada hi na ho aur..age me..teri umar aur meri same ho jaye...tabhi maine vrat rakhni hai..
Sid is shocked to hear that.Sana is such a pure hearted girl,at a same tym this age difference bothered him again.Just after she used age word Sidharth got conscious . It makes him worried as always. He knew he can't change the fact,he felt helpless.
Sana : tujhe pata hai mere jo personal wale bhagwan hai unse maine mannat maangi hai ke tujhe meri bhi umar lag jaye
Sid : Shehnaaz (said with a cracked voice & hugged her ).
Sid after all these agreed to let her fast but only one condition.She need to wear that exact chunni which she wore in hospital task.Which she gave sid to wore.
Flashback :
Sidharth was even unable to open his eyes.As he is full of mud,cowdunk and turmeric liquid.Sana was just waiting outside for the final bell.Just the bell ring Sana ran inside and hold Sidharth to make him sit in the wheelchair.Sidharth trying to open his eyes,but couldn't able to see anything.He just barely utter a line : Mujhe dikh nehi raha.
Sana : aapko girne nehi dungi,hath pakdo mera sidharth. It was more than a confirmation sounds for Sidharth.He never trust anyone easily.But a single line of Sana sounds so real and sounds for lifelong.
And she softly hold him and let him sit in the chair and literally ran towards washroom area.She helped him to get inside the bathroom as he was unable to see anything.Also passed him towel and his shorts and a tshirt.
Arti also ran behind when Sana took him to washroom,but she didn't even touched him as he was full of mud.Where Sana didn't care abt this helped Sidharth.It touches Sidharth.He realised Sana is a very genuine carong person.
Sidharth came out from washroom after taking a bath.Sidharth was in luggage area searching for sumthing.
Sana : Kya Dhund Rahe Ho ??
Sid : Kuch odhne ke liye..thoda thand lagega,udhar AC bhi to strong hai na...
Sana : yeh lo mera le lo and she gave her maroon dupatta to sid.Being unsure that either he would take it or not.But he took it with a smile.
Sana blushes and also thinks..being manly from outside is so easy..but if you are really want to be a man you need to be a good human being first..and a good human doesn't have any male ego..
Sidharth during whole task wearing Sana's dupatta.It was made Sana blush and she is happy that wearing a dupatta doesn't making him a less than a man.Instead he look more superior when he respecting a woman by wearing it.Only a true gentleman can do that.
Flashback ends .
Sid : tujhe karwa chauth me kya tohfa chahiye moti ??
Sana : ek kaam kar apna surname de de
Sid : ha ha ha so cheesy
Sana : Zorawar ( with a mischievous smile )
Sid : khanjar...bataaa moti
Sana : do din tym de..acha soch ke batani maine..pehla karwa chauth hai..yaadgaar honi chahiye

A karwa chauth is a always special for a woman,specially for punjabis.For Sana it's more special becoz of sum reason. Sidharth doesn't know abt it..Sana never disclose it.But she decided to tell him.After the vrat.She was planning for a special gift.Which it can be ???
