their nose is flat their skin is glowy
their chestnut hair is long and flowy
"messy", they say as they say as they quirk their thick brows
their body as thin as the expectation allows

go on a diet- do you even eat?
how could you ever think you'd be complete
without a husband and children and broom by your side
your hair is untied. your hips- they're too wide

fifty
the number rung in her head
she was supposed to be fifty, but of course, instead, she was
sixty
the image circled her mind
she'd run more tomorrow, but then she'd find she was
seventy
is this what she has become?
the struggle and pain had only just begun because it's a
cycle
you see- fed by habit and pain
you starve then you binge then you
do it again
