On the way back Emilio was grumpier than normal. Early when I said all of those things it was like I was a different person. I had so much confidence and didn't care that we were in a public place. That was so embarrassing. I can't tell if he brings out the worst in me or the best?"

We walked into the house and my mother had a cake for David. He was sitting there watching her make it as I let all the guys in. I showed them to the living room where they all sat down with the gifts they got David.

Emilio and I head straight to David with our gifts. "Oh you got me something too Delilah." I smile and place my gift in front of him. He smiles as he opens it. "Oh this is amazing. Now I can smell good for my dates with Felicity."

He opens Emilio's gift and David laughs. He got a picture of his dad making funny faces on the front. "Oh yeah, this is the one." he admires the shirt for a while. "Next time I should get you a shirt like that." Felicity says walking over with the cake.

All the guys walk over and only Jasper has to introduce himself. "I'm Jasper sir, you haven't met me yet." Jasper holds out his hand and David shakes it.

"Nice to meet you Jasper. I'm glad my son has a lot of friends." he chuckles. "We got you some gifts David." Jacob says putting his gift and Gabriel's onto the table. David pulls out their gifts with a smile. "Thanks guys I appreciate it."

Once David finishes opening the gift we all round the table and sing happy birthday. David is in his 40's surprisingly. He looks very young. "Okay everyone. Are you all staying for dinner?" Felicity asks.

"Nah we just wanted to wish a happy birthday." Jacob smiles at her with a warmly. "Okay thanks, guys for coming over." Felicity gives then all a hug before they walk out of the door. They should have stayed because now I'm left alone with Emilio.

He looks at me and I bite my lip. "Do you guys want to watch a movie?" David asks "Sure if it's okay with you Felicity." Emilio asks. Felicity nods and makes her way over to make dinner.

I sit on the couch furthest from Emilio after he sits down. I don't think I'll be able to keep myself under control sitting next to him. David gets us some pillows and covers and sits on his own couch.

As we get comfortable David scrolls through the movies. He decides to put on a romantic comedy. I absolutely love romantic comedy.

The movie starts to play and I try to focus, but Emilio keeps doing small distracting gestures. Everytime he swallows I have to hold my breath. Everytime he runs his hands through his hair I have to look away. Everytime he licks his lips I get distracted.

I feel like he's teasing me on purpose. Felicity walks in with two bags of popcorn and I raise my eyebrow. "There's only two bags of popcorn. Can you two share?" she asks.

I nod as I get up from the couch and scoot closer to Emilio. "Here." she hands Emilio the bag as I get comfortable again. Emilio and I awkwardly eat the popcorn trying not to touch each others hand.

Being this close to him is making me nervous. I bite my lip as I try to stay focused. Not paying attention to where my hand is going I end up gripping something hard. Emilio makes a little noise and I look to where my hand is.

"Oh my gosh I'm....That was an accident." I remove my hand and he doesn't look at me. "Behave Delilah." he grits his teeth and whispers.

I put some distance between us so it won't happen again. Once the first movie is over, David gets up to go help felicity in the kitchen. Leaving Emilio and I alone.

He scrolls through movies. "Anything you want to watch?" he ask placing his eyes on me. "No you can pick whatever," I say.

He turns back to the TV and decides on a crime movie. I reach for more popcorn and end up getting pulled closer. I glare at Emilio and he smirks. "Why are you sitting so far." He teases. "Because sitting next to you is embarrassing." I bite my lip as I look up into his eyes.

"So grabbing my dick isn't." I blush as he whispers. "You've had me in your mouth but sitting next to me is too much." He whispers.

"Can you not bring that up. It was an accident." I cross my arms and turn away from him. "Fine I'll wait for our phone call later." He chuckles. Gosh he does so many things to me.

A little later I help Felicity with the rest of the food, then we all sit down and feast on our dinner. At the end of the night Emilio goes home and David stays. I head up to my room and get my bath water ready. Once it's done I call Emilio.

To my surprise he doesn't answer the phone. I thought we were past this ignoring me crap. I sigh as I let my water out. I go over to my window to make sure his is open and it is. I climb through quietly and there stands Emilio who's leaned against the wall breathing hard with sweat running down his face.

I run over to him. "Emilio are you ok-" I start but get cut of. "Go back to your room." He growls. "W-What why? You look like you have a fever." He glares at me. "I said go." He yells but I don't move.

"No Emilio! Your always doing this! You let me in and then push me away. If you don't want me just say that." I yell back at him.

When she yells back at me I growl then pin her to the wall. That defiant look still in her eyes. "It's a fucking full moon." She tries to look out the window but I pull her head back towards me. "Don't look at it."

She bites her lip. "I don't care about the effect it has. You can mark me Emilio, I want you." my wolf goes crazy over that confession but I force him to calm down. "I'm not okay with marking you." during a full moon if you look at it your wolf instantly goes into mating mode. It has a stronger effect on me since I'm a Golden.

I'm not marking her though. If I do and she dies then I'm really not going to have anyone. "If you don't want me Emilio then I'll leave you alone. Just say the word."

"I do fucking want you, Delilah. I....I just....We can't be together." I see hope in her eyes. "Is it my mate? I can end things with him." my grip on her wrist tightens as I try to get my wolf under control. "No. Just leave." I growl "No." she says stubbornly.

I don't need this right now. If she won't leave then I will. I let her go and head for the door but she grabs my wrist. "Don't walk away from me." the only thing that will make her leave is telling her what she wants to hear.

I turn around and pull her mouth into mine. "Break it off with him and I'll make you mine." she looks up into my eyes and bites her lip. "O-Okay." she breathes. "Don't come back until you do." I press my lips to hers again, then let her go.

She climbs back through her window and I let out a deep breath. I hate that I lied to her. I know I can't be with her. I can ask my dad about how my mother held herself back for so long but that's about all I can do for her.

I can't be what she wants me to be. I gulp water from my cup and lay in my bed. When I left their house I looked up at the full moon and then it started affecting me. As long as I don't let my wolf take control Delilah should be okay though.

I wake up the next morning and get back to my daily routine. I call up Jacob and we go on another run as he tells me about his amazing night under the full moon which is annoying as shit.

I expected Delilah to call me or let me know she's officially mine but she doesn't. It's making me mad, what if she realized I'm not the one and she only wants her mate. I need some time before I can stick to my word, I still have to ask my father about what my mother used and why it went wrong.

Once I get back in my father is home cooking up dinner. "Wow, you haven't done this in a while." I smile. "Yeah, your mother would give me so much shit if she knew I wasn't cooking for you lately." I sit down and drink from my water bottle. "How did you and mom manage to you know without her wolfing out." I ask.

"She had these pills that she got from her grandmother. She supplied your mother with so many bottles they could last years." he says. "What happened to them all?" I ask again.

"Your mother forgot to take her pills and bit me. She didn't need them anymore so she put them in storage. Why?" he asks

"I'm just asking." I need to find those pills. If I do maybe I'll be able to be with Delilah.
