*Delilah*
The deliciously gorgeous guy shuts his blinds angrily. Well jeez, I didn't mean to stare. I didn't think he would be vindictive because I stood to stare.I bite the inside of my mouth as I thought about the way his bumpy six-pack moves with every stroke of his hair. When he went to grab that shirt every muscle in his body looked delicious, almost as if it was calling for me to touch it with my soft fingers.
Mmm, I want to touch his toned body. I want to feel every bump with my fingers and I want him to react to my touch. What the hell am I thinking?
I have a mate and I never want to be like him. I don't want to neglect my mate bond. I could never cause my other half a pain like that.
I toss my phone on the bed and grab the TV remote. Just before I was interrupted I had a message from my mate Jonathan saying he can't come visit me out here at all. Honestly, if we didn't have this bond he wouldn't even stay with me.
A knock on the door interrupts me and I open it. David is standing at the door with a bag in his hands. "Hey, Delilah. I know you probably don't like me much but I just wanted to get you a little gift." he smiles. I couldn't hate him just because my mother left me.
David seems like a nice guy so maybe I'll have him take me to the mall when I need it. "I don't hate you, David. I just can't act happy in front of my- Felicity. Not after what she did." I explain apologetically. I didn't want to seem like a bad person. First impressions are everything. "I understand it may take time but your mother is a wonderful person. I just hope you can get to know her like I did." he smiles.
"You must really love her." my expression grows cold. I still can't forget all the nights my father cried and was so broken he couldn't get out of bed. "I do. We're taking it slow though since we started dating only four months ago."
I take a deep breath. I don't want to know about the wonderful life she's had without my father and I. "Well thank you for the gift, David." I take the gift from his hand and look at it. It's a bracelet with a charm on it. It has empty charm rings. It's silver with a horse on it. "You can fill up the rest if you decide to keep the bracelet." the corners of his lips curl up into a warm smile.
"Thank you." I say. He nods before walking away. I decide to leave my door open and scan around my room. I don't want to get too comfortable but this place needs some touching up. My room back at my fathers place is blue and gray. I like dark colors mainly because they don't hurt my eyes when the light shines on them.
I picture myself decorating the room. The things I'm going to buy and where I'm going to put anything. I really need some new curtains on this window. The curtains on the window are see through. Since there's a guy living next door I really need to get some darker ones.
I take out my phone to text my father. I can't tell him about David because I'm not sure if he's truly over Felicity or not.
Me: I made it dad. Felicity tried giving me a hug like she knew me for years🙄.
Dad: Sweatheart I told you to be nice.
Me:She the one who walked out on us. I'm not giving her a second chance.
Dad:Sigh okay. At least try to get to know her.
Me:I'll try. I'm going to be out of the house most of the time anyway so I don't have to put in too much work.
Dad:Felicity!
Me:Text ya later dad.
I put my phone back into my pocket. I need to make a friend or two while I'm here so I don't have to be in this house with her all day.
