Brianna POV
I haven't drank any blood for a few days. I don't know what it was but seeing Kenna's frightened face made me not want to drink from her anymore. Even though she comes back to life. It's like something inside me doesn't like seeing people get hurt.As I walked down the stairs I immediately felt light headed making my body move forward only to be caught by none other then Indigo.
"Whoa there. Are you ok?"
"Fine."
"When was the last time you had any blood?"
I didn't say anything.
"Brianna. I know how you are feeling but you can not refuse blood. If you do you will die."
"I failed. My master isn't happy. So why should I be happy? Kenna doesn't like me anymore, Revena looks at me differently. Maybe I should have actually died and not come back at all. Being this monster wasn't my choice."
"Brianna, do you remember what you told me when we first met?"
My memories are foggy. It's like something is keeping them blocked.
"You told me never to call myself a monster. You told me that apart of me was still human. You also taught me that blood isn't the only substitute for blood. But that doesn't mean you can't do away with it. And I'm sure Kenna doesn't hate you. Neither does Revena, all Revena wants to do is help you become you again."
I didn't say anything.
"What's going on here?"
Looking up I see Liv at the end of the stairs looking concerned.
"It's nothing. She just needs blood. She hasn't been drinking any."
"What? Hasn't been drinking any blood? Brianna. Explain." Liv spoke sternly.
"I- I don't like the way Kenna looks at me. She sees me as a monster now and I just-" she suddenly grasped my neck slamming my back up against the wall as she looked deep into my eyes.
"HEY!" Indigo yelled.
"Interesting. It seems a little bit of your humanity has come back. I don't know how or why but it has got to go. I can't have an underling who's scared to kill someone. Now then, look me in the eyes and turn it off. Lock your emotions in an unbreakable cage..."
I could feel my body grow numb as everything around me began to dim.
"STOP! Please! Leave Brianna be!"
Liv dropped me making me fall to my knees limply as Indigo quickly came to my side.
"Kenna."
I heard Liv command.
Kenna came piping around the corner far to quickly making me wonder if she had heard what I had said before. But In this moment, I didn't care. As I stared at her neck my mouth began to water as I weakly stood up."Yes mistress?"
"It would seem that Brianna has been neglecting her meals. You are to make sure she eats everyday. Am I clear?"
"Y-Yes mistress."
"Brianna. Go ahead and have a bite."
As I made my way over to her I blocked every sound and everyone besides Kenna. I could see a sheen of sweat drip from the corner of her brow as I inches closer. And yet as I saw the fear in her eyes I stopped.
"Why are you stopping?! If you wish to please me then you will eat!"
Gritting my teeth I grasp Kenna's shoulders. I could hear her heartbeat quicken as I leaned towards her neck.
"BRIANNA STOP!" I froze as I heard Indigos voice echo all around me.
"You don't want to do this! There's a better way of obtaining blood then killing innocent people!"
Ever so slowly the color around me started to come back as I felt something inside of me slowly begin to unlock.
"ENOUGH OF THIS! BRIANNA!"
Looking up I saw Liv standing right behind Kenna while holding a small dagger in hand. She quickly slit Kenna's neck making her wince in pain.
I became more infatuated with the blood as I watched Liv lick some of it off her neck.
"You want some don't you? After all you must be starving if you really haven't eaten in days."
I could feel my body struggling.
"Brianna don't listen to her. There's a better way!" Indigo said as I felt her hand gently touch my shoulder making me look back.
"Brianna! Do you not wish to please me? To make me happy?!"
Looking back at Liv I nodded my head as she glared down at me.
"Then god damn it drink! You feeding off Kenna until the war will make me happy!"
Everything around me went dark. I could suddenly taste the familiar sweet liquid swimming down my throat. In that moment I was covered in darkness.
Liv's POV
I smirked as I watched Brianna sink her fangs into Kenna's neck."She's a fighter. But sometimes people who fight will fall into a bitter darkness. I don't need Briannas humanity. If she has it she won't be able to kill Freia. If I ever see you try to unlock her humanity again, I'll kill you."
Still. For Brianna to unlock even the slightest bit of humanity...
Her soul must be strong.
Indigos POV
As Liv left I watched sadly as Brianna drained Kenna's blood. Brianna never wanted this. Still. It's good to know that she can gain her humanity back without Liv's help. And if she thinks I'm just going to sit back and watch Brianna turn into a monster she doesn't want to be....
She's wrong.
