Freia POV
It wasn't hard for me to find Hunters, I had her scent memorized long ago. Taking a deep breath I reluctantly knock on the front door. To which she answers with Phaie sleeping in her arms.

She looked scared as she seen me. Her arm around the baby tightened as she took a step back.

"I'm not here for the child. I'm here because I need your help, there is a war coming and-" she interrupted me.

"I don't care about a war you got yourself caught up in. For the first time in my life I feel safe here. Even if I am living with a vampire, either way I'm not going to help you fight in this war. That's just asking me to go do suicide!"

S he was about to slam the door in my face but I wouldn't allow it.

"Your not as weak as I made you think!" That gained her attention. Taking a deep breath I look down at my feet as I rub my upper arm nervously.

"You and I both know that father and mother made me Alpha years before you where born. And when you where born you possessed gifts beyond belief, and where able to pick up skills faster then I ever could. When mother and father died, I was scared, scared because I had thought that you would try and fight me for my Alpha spot in the pack. If that where to ever happen I knew you would have beaten me. And you know exactly what happens when somebody wins against me... I- I'm afraid to be alone. That's why I made you think you where weak but your not. And right now I really need your help!"

She looked angry. This isn't good, I need her on my side!

"So. You put me at the bottom of the food change just because you where afraid of banishment?! I never cared about being Alpha! All I cared about was being a family like before mother and father had died! But no! U- never mind. I'm done with arguing with you, I'm done being afraid, I'm not going to help you fight in this war. And besides Phaie needs me."

I can't leave here without Hunter. God if I would have only knew something like this was going to happen then I would have-

"Brianna is still alive!" That made her stop.

"You said she was dead."

"I know what I said. But I speak the truth. Brianna is alive and is in danger. She was turned by none other then Liv herself! She is being controlled by her! Please you have to believe me! All I want to do is bring Brianna home."

"I see. So your past has come to bite you in the ass. This is what you get for killing Liv's mate. You know the old saying an eye for an eye? But either way if Brianna is still alive and is being controlled like you said then fine, I will help you."

"I didn't kill her mate! Why won't anyone believe me?! " gritting my teeth in anger I try to relax as I turn around walking towards my home.

"Follow me. You start training immediately."

I didn't kill her mate. If I could just convince Liv... oh who am I kidding. How is she going to believe that Ava simply disappeared...

I just have to win this war. I don't care about anything else. All I want is Brianna back.
