Indigo POV
I tried my best on restoring Briannas humanity. And at first it seemed to work. That is until she fed off of Kenna. I was surprised to see Kenna come back to life every time she would drop dead. I was curious."Kenna. What are you?"
"That's the question isn't it? What am I? Where do I come from? It's all a big mystery to me. Either way my story isn't a happy one, and I don't feel like telling it."
"I see. Sorry I asked. And on behalf of Brianna I apologize as well. If it where her own choice she wouldn't be feeding off of you."
"I know. Still. Dying then coming back like that, it puts a big strain on me every time. Still there's nothing you can do about it. Whatever Liv wants she gets."
"Still. What are we going to war for?"
"Long ago Liv had a lover. She had been with Liv through everything, even when she turned into a vampire. She was there. I don't want to say to much on Liv's story since it's not mine to tell. But let's just say Freia of the red moon pack killed her lover. All Liv wants is revenge."
"I see. Still. Why create a vampire army for it? I mean yes the wolf pack is strong but I doubt she needs this many people." Looking around at everyone who was already here I begin to worry.
What if something goes wrong and Brianna ends up dead? Surly not. I mean Freia loves Brianna but she also hates the vampires. But because of Brianna I was able to gain there trust. I really don't want to ruin that.
Still. I needed to figure out a way to restore Briannas humanity.
Walking out of the room I spot Brianna staring out the window blankly. She was forbidden to leave this mansion of a house after what had happened. Still. If I could show her how beautiful the world really was then... I was suddenly taken aback by a single tear escaping her red eyes. Brianna was still there and she was fighting.
"Brianna? Would you like to step outside for a bit?" She looked towards me but then looked away.
"My master forbids me to go outside."
"Still. Being cooped up here is one thing. If you stay inside for to long you will most definitely go insane. And Liv only forbid you not to leave the area." I lied hoping I would trick her into coming outside with me.
"I- I suppose, just for a bit."
"Alright! There's this really cool place I have been wanting to show you!" I wanted to help Brianna.
Walking along a path I could tell she was taking everything in. She was still sensitive to sound and other stuff around her. I could sense her uneasiness.
Walking behind her I cover her eyes making her tense.
"Your senses are all heightened. You can gain control of them. Just take three deep calming breaths. Try listening to just the birds chirping in the distance. Once you get a handle on that try focusing on a different sound."
It was quiet. I could see Briannas shoulder relax as I slowly removed my hands. For a moment I saw Brianna's eyes flicker from red to blue. Blue eyes. I haven't really paid much attention to Brianna since we met. But looking at her now. Even though she's changed a lot, she's really beautiful. Especially with her slightly wavy blonde hair. It's grown a lot these past few months.
For the first time in years I could feel my heart pound. But that couldn't be right? My heart stopped beating years ago. Still. Every time I'm around Brianna I feel human again. She makes me feel again.
Looking down I spot something glimmering in the distance. Walking towards it I pick it up. It was a heart shaped stone. How could it possibly take on this form though? Walking back towards Brianna I smile gently and place the stone in her hands making her tilt her head curiously.
"I want you to picture this as your heart. Every time you feel as if your slipping away into darkness I want you to squeeze it as hard as you can and take three deep breaths. Can you do that for me?"
She did as I said. And when she opened her eyes they where back to her normal blue ones. She looked confused as she looked around.
"Indigo? What's going on? Where am I?"
She was back. I wonder if that stone I gave her holds some sort of magic power? Either way. It would seem as if she lost her memories.
Still this was bad. If Liv knew I had gotten Briannas humanity back...
I guess I would just have to hide her until the war to come.
"It's a long story."
