It was dark.

Dark.

Silent.

And cold.

As those thoughts crossed his mind, the albino stirred as he tried to move his body, only to find himself unable to do so.

Yet it wasn't because he was tied up but merely because his body felt paralyzed, the police officer unable to move.

A strange pressure was around his neck as the albino carefully moved his hand towards his neck area, feeling his hands slowly being able to move again.

Upon touching his neck, Mafumafu felt that something cold and hard was around his neck as the albino widened his eyes when the realization hit him what it was.

A collar.

And if his suspicions were correct then...

Mafumafu heard some footsteps as he looked up to see a man in covered with a hood walk towards him with big steps, the albino feeling uneasier with every step the other took.

Now that his vision was finally not blurred anymore, he could see his surroundings, his suspicions confirming as he knew what had happened to him.

The red spider lilies which surrounded him were enough to make him realize what had happened. He had been successfully captured by Higanbana.

And he was the next victim of Case X.

All his instincts were telling him to beg for his life right at this moment and plead for the man to let him go.

Yet the albino knew that he had to stay calm, knowing that begging would most likely get him nowhere.

"So you've finally woken up, Mafumafu-san.", the male said as the albino flinched upon hearing his name being called out by this stranger.

But even so, it wasn't surprising as Higanbana was known for searching up all information about their targets before executing them.

All in the name for their own way of "justice".

For now, the albino decided to stay silent and watch what the other male was going to say.

His voice, unlike the entire being of himself, sounded gentle and calm. If it was not for the current situation they were in, Mafumafu would have even thought that it was shooting. 

"...I see that you have noticed the situation you're in. As you may have guessed, I am a member of Higanbana.", the male said as Mafumafu finally managed to gain some courage to speak up.

"Who... are you? What... are you going to do to me? Will I die...?", Mafumafu asked, his voice sounding unsteady and weak. The albino cursed at himself in his mind when he realized how pathetic he sounded right now.
