Based of the song "Lemon Boy"

A purple-haired male was working in his small house, watering his flowers as he watched the sun slowly setting.

It was quiet as most people were already heading home or were still busy with things.

Nanamori who had just graduated from university, decided to work in this small flower shop which had belonged to his friend who had passed away due to unexpected events.

All the possible job paths that he could have taken were thrown away as he wanted to continue working in this shop for the sake of his friend who had only left him behind some things.

A soft bell ripped the purple-haired male out of his thoughts as he looked towards the door, only expecting one person to come.

"Ah, welcome back, Colon-kun!", Nanamori greeted the younger boy with a smile, the smile vanishing as quick as it came when he saw the blue-haired boy standing there with additional wounds to the ones that he already had.

"Colon-kun, what happened?!", Nanamori asked as he rushed towards the younger boy who was wiped away the tears which were threatening to fall.

Instead of answering the purple-haired male's question, Colon merely grumbled before speaking up. "I want to quit school."

In response, the purple-haired male could only frown as he shook his head. "I'm sorry but you can't just quit school. Your big brother wanted you to go to school.", Nanamori answered.

Hearing that, Colon could only tighten his grip on his backpack as he was trembling, Nanamori not knowing wether it was from fear or from the cold. "I don't want to go back to school."

The purple-haired male looked at the younger male for a few more seconds before sighing as he slightly kneeled down and put his hand on the blue-haired male's head.

That Colon was being bullied at school was known by almost everyone. Nanamori had suggested many things already such as the blue-haired male telling the teachers about it.

But the younger male had always answered that he didn't like the teachers and even with Nanamori suggesting many things, Colon always rejected every suggestion.

So in the end, the purple-haired male could only wait at home with bandages to tend the blue-haired male's wounds.

Everyday had been the same for the two of them. Nanamori working in the flower shop as he heard the customers talking about Colon.

Colon coming back home in the afternoon. And always telling him that he wanted to quit school with fresh wounds on his skin every day.

And everyday, Nanamori's answer would be the same. But the purple-haired male did feel bad for Colon. The boy was merely unlucky in his life, having lost his parents which is why he had to life with his big brother who was Nanamori's friend.

But in the end, his brother had passed away and having no relatives who wanted to take him in, it was Nanamori who volunteered to take the boy in as it was his friend's wish.

He knew it would be hard and difficult to support the two of them but he wanted to do it for his friend who he held close to him.

He didn't care about the rumors of his friend. He didn't care about the rumors of Colon. All he wanted was to make this boy who only seemed to scowl and cry, smile for once.

The boy who was bitter just like a lemon and never smiled.

In the past, he had avoided talking to Colon because seeing the blue-haired male had reminded him of his friend which was too painful for him.
