2 months later, saturdaywe did it, we finally did it. the cabinet was ready.
we stood by it for a moment, in awe of our accomplishment.
"corrine, when this is all over... what's going to happen with us" draco asked while he stared at the cabinet.
"well, i don't plan on leaving you, that's for sure" i answered with a small giggle.
"maybe we could...get a house, on a beach? a big house, with no neighbors, we could get a dog or two, and maybe...children, to keep us company, of course" he said as he turned to me and picked up my hands.
"i would love that" i smiled.
thunder then reverberated around us, shaking the floors.
"it's time, corrine. follow me" he demanded.
"wait, time for what?" i asked with confusion.
he didn't answer me, he pulled my hand and began dragging me out of the room.
we made our way up to the astronomy tower, only to find dumbledore.
"draco, what's going on?" i looked around trying to figure out what the hell we were doing in the astronomy tower with dumbledore.
"draco...corrine, good evening. what brings you two here on this fine spring evening?" dumbledore questioned.
draco had tears pricking his eyes, i had no idea what was going on. the sky surrounding us was grey, and thunder was striking colossally. i looked back and forth from the two of them with trepidation in my eyes.
"who else is here, i heard you talking" draco seethed at dumbledore while pulling out his wand, pointing it at him.
"draco, what are you doing!" i yelled "what the hell is going on!"
"corrine, i'm sorry" he answered.
"draco, you don't have to do this. you are no assassin" dumbledore tried to reassure him.
"you don't know what i am!" draco raged, as his tears trickled down his face.
"i once knew a boy who made all the wrong choices, draco. i can help you the both of you" dumbledore said.
"we don't need your help!" draco choked.
"draco, please- please tell me what's going" i cried.
"show him your arm, corrine" he said with his wand still pointing at dumbledore.
"what-"
"show him your arm!" he yelled at me.
i lifted my sleeve quickly to reveal my dark mark, draco rolled his sleeve up to show his as well.
"i feel deeply sorry for you both. this doesn't have to be done, you know"
"you don't understand, do you? i have to kill you...or he's gonna kill me" draco wept.
i heard a door close and looked to my left to see bellatrix lestrange, and the other deatheaters enter the room.
"well, look what we have here! well done, corrine and draco" bellatrix taunted while grabbing both of our shoulders.
"bellatrix, good evening. i believe introductions are called for" dumbledore drawled as he looked at the other death eaters.
"love to, albus. but i believe we are on a bit of a tight schedule...draco, do it!" she seethed.
