"corinne!", i lifted my aching neck from the side of a rather, bony shoulder.
"wake up we're arriving at hogwarts shortly" draco bagged.
my head rose as i rubbed my eyes and yawned. draco stood up and stared at me like i was absolutely mental.
"why are you looking at me like that!" i screeched.
"you look bloody awful, put some makeup on" draco seethed, throwing me my makeup bag.
He was my best friend, he's got to be honest with me, and i really do appreciate it, he's just a bit of a twat sometimes
I still love him though.
"thanks." i mumbled, rolling my eyes.

we were stepping off the train heading to the carriages when i jumped at the sudden screech coming from behind us.
"Corrine!!!"
lydia brodeur and vivian torsney. my two best friends (beside draco) ran up to me, almost throwing me to the ground with their excessive hugging.
"bloody hell, you both are choking me!" i stammered as i hugged them back
draco chuckled at this. that dirty minded boy.
they both eventually let go.
"where were you two on the train!" viv laughed.
"we had our own compartment, i looked for you guys i swea-"
"no she didn't. wanted alone time with me if you girls get my gist" he chuckled.
i lightly hit him on the shoulder with the book i was consumed with on the train.
lydia and viv giggled as we continued walking to the carriages.
how great it felt to be home.

we sat down at the slytherin table in the great hall with the rest of our friends. blaise zabini, theo knott, and obviously lydia and viv.
after dumbledore gave his speech and introduce our new DADA professor, umbridge. we all devoured our dinner so we could head to the common room to discuss our summer holiday and tell one another about all our adventures.
we made our way to the slytherin common room. i sat down on the pristine black leather couch. draco sitting next to me, arms sprawled out. lydia and viv sat on the floor with criss-cross legs. blaise and theo sitting on the two leather lounge chairs.
"me and corrine shagged over summer holiday". draco had a mischievous smile on his face.
"WHA-" i swear everyone's mouths dropped to the floor
"shut it malfoy!" "no we didn't" i retorted.
and it was true, we did not shag. i swear the boy is such a flirt, it never ends.
ever since third year, when i matured. he's been such a tease. i don't mind really, it's just a bit weird since he's my best friend and all.
as he's talking with theo and blaise, i can't help but notice that he's changed. a good change. a very good change...more handsome, if you must.
i'm with him a lot, but i never really observed his facial features, and boy was he beautiful.
chiseled jaw, muscular arms, and um... very nice lips, shaped like a crescent when he soft smiles...

"corrine? whatcha thinking about?" lydia questioned, looking at me like she knows exactly what i'm thinking about.
i jumped out of my deep thought as everyone stared at me.
"oh! nothing! sorry... wh-what are we talking about" i stuttered.
our conversations continued as the night went on. going on and on about our vacations to tropical islands and lavish cities.
we all then started to head to bed.
"goodnight love" draco mumbled to me as he headed for the boys dorms.
"goodnight draco" i smile
"oh and about what i said earlier, you don't need makeup. you're beautiful without it".
what.
he then comes up to me and places a small kiss on my forehead. he turned around and walked to the boy's dormitories, leaving me stunned at the intimate yet weird gesture.

i walked back into my dorm, still shocked, to find lydia and viv sitting on my bed. merlin, they looked like dogs waiting for a treat to be thrown at their slobbery faces!
"what are you guys doing in here?" i asked annoyed
"the shagging.... with draco.... it happened? right?" viv anxiously queried.
"merlins sake NO!" i yelled throwing my hands on the top of my brunette hair.
"what do you mean, no" lydia sounded disappointed when she said this.
the two have been wanting me and draco to get together since third year. i told them it would never happen. for many obvious reason.
"i saw the way you were looking at him, corrine. there's no denying it!" lydia scoffed
"oh hush, since when is staring a crime! he looked descent and i was just admiring. what's wrong with that!"
"corrine please just atlea-"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT" i cut viv off before she could finish her sentence. i knew what she was going to say.
"whatever you say rinney, don't come to us when you can't control your undeniable love for draco malfoy" lydia mocked his name.
after they left, i quickly did my nighttime routine, then changed into some sweat pants and a slytherin quidditch hoodie. I jumped in my bed trying to not think about my conversation with lydia and viv, and eventually i was overwhelmed with a peaceful blackness.
edit 2/2/21 Hey bitches, this has been recently getting a lot of reads. I literally apologize in advance, this was my first story ever written so it's probs super terrible. LOL one day I might come back to edit it and make it a bit longer. Anywayyy, thank you for 7k reads, I know it's not a lot but it means so much to me and you're comments make my day.
