How Do I Love You?

one month later, at the malfoy manor

i stared at the test in my hand,

i can't be...

the positive sign glared at me as it caused nervous butterflies in my stomach. i felt like i was going to be sick.

i was late, so i thought i'd buy a pregnancy test, i didn't think anything of it, my cycle was always irregular, but with all the sex draco and i had been having i needed to make sure.

bloody hell, what am i gonna do

i threw the test in the garbage can, i covered it with toilet paper, so draco wouldn't find it. i decided i was going to tell him later that night. i couldn't keep it from him, this was our child, and he deserved to know.

i walked out of the bathroom to see draco laying on our bed reading one of my books, this happened to be one of my favorite views.

"you were in there for a while, everything alright?" he asked as he flipped through the pages of the book.

"uh y-yes everything's fine" i stuttered as i plopped down next to him, peeking at the pages of the book he was reading.

he closed the book and looked at me, "you're lying, corrine"

"what, no i'm not!"

"you stutter when you lie" he said quite bluntly.

"wh-what, no i don't!"

"you're doing it right now" he remarked as got up out of bed to grab his glass of water.

"draco, i-"

"it's fine, i won't bother you about it if you don't want to tell me" he said after gulping down the glass of water.

"thank you" i sighed, as i threw my head back on the soft pillows.

later that day, dinner time

draco and i had dinner in the garden that evening. i planned to tell him about my pregnancy. things didn't tell go as planned, i panicked and couldn't get the words out of my mouth. what if he didn't want a child right now? what if he left me? these questions overwhelmed my mind the entire night. after dinner, we made our way back to the bedroom to get ready for bed.

"i'm taking a shower, want to join?" he asked me as he swung a black towel over his shoulder.

"i'm a bit tired, rain check?" i said as i gave him a smile.

"of course, love" he said as he placed a small kiss on my forehead.

i threw on a pair of black sweatpants and a black sports bra, hopped into bed, and began indulging in my newest reading selection.

i was a few pages in, when draco swung the door open, holding my pregnancy test.

"corrine... what's this" he murmured as he stood in the bathroom doorway.

"draco, i was planning to tell you i swear!"

"bloody hell, corrine! how long have you known!" he yelled.

"i found out today, i swear i was going to tell you tonight, i just panicked! i'm sorry"

he chucked the test at my face and stormed into the bathroom, slamming the door shut.

fuck

it felt as if he showered for hours, i waited patiently so i could explain everything to him. i then heard the squeak of the shower handle turn off, and the door swung open.

he didn't say anything to me, he walked to his dresser with his towel wrapped around his waist. i stared at him, waiting for him to say something.

"draco, i-"

"corrine, i don't want to hear it" he seethed with his back turned to me as he dug through his dresser drawer.

"we've got to talk about it at some point!" i yelled as i got up from the bed.

i walked over to him and turned his shoulder, forcing him to look at me.

"look, i'm sorry i didn't tell you right away, i was scared and needed time to process it. please don't be mad at me" i begged.

"i'm not mad at you, corrine. i just- it's a lot to take in, ok?" he said comfortingly as he brushed my ebony hair behind my ear.

"what do you want to do, with it?" i asked as i looked up into his eyes.

"keep it, of course, as long as you want to"

"i do...i want to keep it" i nodded.

he smiled at me and grabbed my face, "we're going to be parents, my love" he then planted a small kiss on my lips.

3 weeks later

(a.n they are both 18 now)

our families had dinner at the malfoy manor, we told them about the pregnancy and that we planned to keep the baby. draco's parents were absolutely overjoyed when they heard another malfoy was entering the family, one to carry out the family name, if it was a boy of course. my family was happy for draco and i, nic especially. he went on and on about how he was going to be the "best uncle in the whole world", it was adorable.

narcissa had me on a strict diet, she gave me an abundance of teas and herbs that she took when she was pregnant with draco, she said that they were miracle workers with the morning sickness and swelling. considering my mother was still a bit hard on me, it felt nice to have narcissa's attentiveness.

i sat in the kitchen with narcissa and my mother as we had a cup of tea.

"have you thought of any names yet, corrine?" my mother asked as she sipped her tea.

"oh yes, names! let's hear them!" narcissa cheered as she washed dishes.

"i haven't really thought about it much, i don't even know if it's a boy or girl yet, but i do have a few in mind" i smiled as i looked down at my cup.

"tell us, dear" my mother said.

"well, for a girl...maybe alula? draco told me once that you're family, narcissa, names their children after stars. the alula borealis is a double star in the ursa major. i learned about it in astronomy at hogwarts, and fell in love with the name. if you'd let me continue that tradition, i'd be honored" i smiled.

"oh, corrine of course! i love it!" she beamed.

"also, we could maybe...call her lu? for lucy" i said as i looked at my mother.

"that's beautiful, my love" my mother smiled and caressed her hand over my cheek.

"what about for a boy?" narcissa questioned.

"i've got one in mind, scorpius? do you like it?"

"i do" said a strong voice, i turned my head to see draco standing in the kitchen entrance.

he walked up and wrapped his arms around me

"i think we got our names picked out, ya?" said draco looking up at my mother and narcissa.

"i believe we do" i answered as i placed a peck on his cheek.

babyyyyy on the wayyyyy!!! ahhh i'm so excited, idk if it's gonna be a girl or boy yet🙈🙈 i absolutely love writing this story it's so fun. but let me know what you think of the name alula, it's on my baby name list in my notes LOL. i love the name so much.
