After wheezing like an unathletic sheep and succumbing to my wounds for a few minutes I hopped back inside Tatiana to get the other biker, Peter, and his convoy, amidst my whole body screaming at me to stop. I have been turning at every road and corner I find but unfortunately, I don't find them. Peter followed a special path whenever he attended the gala held at these parts (something I found out after reading his file more) to avoid any form of, you know, what we're doing to him now. Apparently, Peter had a ton of enemies, a lot of people that wanted him in a body bag.

But why Clyde would want his daughter is still what bothers me.

After turning to another path and I see no one being chased to the ends of the earth, I start to give up on finding them. Unfortunately, I tossed the road mapping that showed every part of the road good ole Peter normally used for safety, seeing as it was more confusing than hieroglyphics (even though I completely regret it now) and unfortunately again, I'm betraying the people who would tell me to turn right or turn left to make it easy. The road mapping I was able to memorize was basically just the place I arrived to begin finding the other pathways, under a bridge that had the word NSG spray-painted on the wall, aside from that, I'm a blank right now. (I know, very professional of a professional assassin) So, I'm going to have to handle this on my own, and I don't really see that ending well.

The good news is the first few traps might actually take a while to reach. The bad news is they were speeding quickly so that they could reach there in no time.

I groan angrily after making another turn to find nothing but an empty road and a cat white at with shining green eyes staring at me. I sigh and start to reverse before I hear the faint roar of an engine from far making me stop, my right eyebrow shooting up.

Is that...?

The cat shrieks loudly and jumps out of the way before a highlander washed with bullet holes passes in front of me and drives straight, another highlander the one with Peter passes as well, but has fewer bullet holes in it, and then the last one follows behind Peter's own and the biker fast on their trail. I quickly set my gear and turn my car following their trail with matching speed. The biker probably noticing my presence turns around and just stares at me. If I was to make a guess as to why he was probably wondering where his friend is and why I'm still alive.

"That's right sucker, I killed him," I say to myself and as if hearing my thoughts, he picks his Uzi and starts to fire directly at me, I swerve my car a bit dodging most of his bullets, but still taking some. The bullets don't really damage my car much, so, I'm not really bothered about him shooting at me. When he stops shooting to reload, I drive my car to the back of his bike and slam it, making his bike swerve violently before he grips it and gains control of it. He looks back at me and raises "the finger" at me before he speeds forward and stops by the side of the highlander right ahead of me. I see a hand and a gun comes out of the car and the biker grabs the hand and twists it in a very disgusting and inappropriate manner. Ouch. The biker then quickly grabs the man's gun who screams could probably wake the whole street up and shoots him. He then looks at the back tire of the car, and then at me, and then back at the tire.

"Don't" I say pointing at him before he nods at me and shoots the back tire of the car making it move out of control due to its speed and crashes before it starts to move towards me. I mutter "shit" before I drive out of the way of the highlander and it slams into another car nearby and blows up. I look at the biker and I'm sure he either wearing the world's most cynical smile or a very ugly smirk. The guy is about to drive ahead to Peter's car before I speed up and hit the back of his bike again, he swerves violently and holds himself again before he tries to use his gun again to shoot. I'm about to slam him with my car again before we reach a narrow road making reverse and stay behind Peter's highlander to avoid scratching (or crashing) it. I look at the biker and see that he's at a tight spot due to the size of the highlander and also due to how tight the road is. While we are still driving through the narrow road, I take my hands off the steering wheel, since it's just a straight path and pick up my pistol (a dessert eagle), and check the magazine. Comforted with what I see, I shove the magazine back inside the gun and start shooting at the biker who takes a bullet to the right arm. He moves and tries to grab his arm but collides with the wall immediately reminding him of the situation he's currently in, he looks back at me and tries his best to bring his own gun towards me. I smirk before I shoot him in his hand making him drop the gun and immediately clutch his hand.

Crying shame.

The road starts to become spacious a bit and I start to believe that we were reaching the end of the narrow path. Bleeding biker must have realized that too because he puts a clip in his Uzi and turns to fire me, making me push the gas pedal with force and slam into the back of his bike knocking him off course, and leading him directly under the foundation of a bridge we were about to drive under. His face meets the foundation, pushing his head back and making his neck snap backward... Extra ouch.

I mentally do a jig and also give myself a mental pat on the back for a job well done. Now all I have to do is just get these morons to slow down and let them know everything is okay. But what in the world would I say that would sound normally.

Um, excuse me stop. You don't need to Overspeed anymore I've killed the guys who were trying to kill you. How do I know that's the last of them? Oh, simple, I'm one of them too, but trust me, I'm the good guy.

Yeah, definitely not that.

I start to press my horn down repeatedly to get their attention but that only seems to make them move faster as if that was even still possible. I groan before I start speed my car up. I drive ahead and stop at the driver's door of Peter's car and honk gaining the driver's attention.

"Can you slow down, please? I want to talk to you" I say before the driver's eyes dart towards me and they widen. I look at him, completely confused. I then look at the position his eyes are and see him looking at the gun in my hand making me facepalm myself. I'm about to explain to the guy why I'm with a gun before I turn and my own eyes widen.

"SHIT, WATCH OUT" is all is say before I step on my brakes hard. The driver must have gotten the message late because before he could stop the car he's car slam into a pillar making the car start to spin before its tires burst and the car starts to spin before it topples over. It continues to spin like that until finally slamming into the other car that was ahead of them which I didn't even notice had crashed before it stops.

"No, no, no, no," I say before I come out of my car, I'm about to run and reach the car before something pricks my leg and I groan, moving back, I raise my leg and look under and see a small sharp needle which I remove and toss before I look down at the floor and stare at it with complete and utter shock.

It was one of the traps.

I look at the car before I look at the wall at my right-hand side and lo and behold it had the words NSG sprayed boldly on it. This was the place I first placed the traps, in case the other ones failed and also due to the fact that the chances of people passing here would be slim. Crap, I'm late after all. How the hell did they survive the other traps anyway?

I start to mentally abuse myself and spank me who was doing the jig before I remember something. The girl, she must still be alive, right? Yeah, she has to be. I run towards the toppled car and remove the already broken door of the passenger seat and see the blonde girl unconscious, strapped to a seat belt with blood bleeding from a gash in her head, I stretch my hand to touch her neck and I feel the pulsating of her veins making my heart swell with hope. She's alive, thank God. I undo the buckle of the seatbelt carefully to set her free, trying my best to avoid her head slamming into the ground and breaking. I was not going to fail thrice tonight.

I lift her and hold her, her cheeks smushed on my shoulder before placing her hands on my shoulder as well, I look into the car again and sigh sadly. I didn't need a pulse check to know that both Peter and his driver were dead. Peter had a large gash in his neck and the driver had glass stuck in the middle of his head, there's no way they are coming back from that. I bend again and see Peter's phone peeping out of his pocket and I carry it, I press the power button and luckily for me, it turns on, even though the screen is cracked a lot I can still make up somethings. I stuff the phone in my pocket and sigh before I look at the kid on my shoulder and the crashed cars, Samuel words finding their way back into my head.

"Doing this is a very big mistake" I remember his words while looking at the girl on my shoulder before I sigh and start to move towards my car.

He called it a mistake. So, why does it feel so right then?
