DING.

The bar door hits a bell as soon as I enter, turning a few eyes towards my position. The bar wasn't as full as I thought it would be, only a few people were around, I think at least 8 people in total. 9 if you add the bartender, each of them wearing matching scowls, piercings, and tattoos. I stare at some of the people looking at me and shrug at them before I walk towards the bartender who is cleaning a bunch of mugs with a rag. I drag one stool out of my way and stand staring face with the bartender. The bartender was actually quite pretty with her pink hair, most of it hidden inside the beanie on her head. Her nose was pierced along with her ear, which has multiple piercings. Her hand was filled with fresh tattoos that looked like a sleeve. Most were drawings of roses and other flowers. She drops the mug she's cleaning and flashes a bright smile, catching me by surprise.

"Welcome to Guini, how can I help ya?" She asks.

"Oh, uh. Do you guys have any food available like you normally do? You know burgers, French fries, anything at all?" I ask making her stroke her chin thought.

"Well, we do still have fries though, but they're probably cold by now," She says.

"Shoot," I say slamming my hand into the table making her chuckle.

"But, I can get it warm for you if you want," She says while pointing towards a door I presume is a kitchen. I nod and smile at her which she returns with a brighter one.

"Kena" She shouts and a redhead pops her head out from the door, opening it slightly. Her face equally filled with metal.

"Warm the fries, someone's gonna eat em," She says and Kena nods before disappearing back inside the room. The bartender turns and faces me with a smile before she bends down and carries another glass and starts cleaning it. She looks at me then back at the glass and then back at me again with a smile.

"Seems you had a rough night," She says pointing at my face making shoot an eyebrow upwards.

"What?" I ask and she drops the glass she's cleaning and bends down before she stands up with a mirror in her hand.

"Your face," She says while facing me with it. I look down and my eyes widen.

HELL, IT'S A MESS. It's actually not that bad though. But compared to how my face was when I checked it in my college room and now, this seems to be much worse. My nose that was slammed with an Uzi (and also an expired bottle of spirit) was red and had a big bump at the bridge of the nose. My right eye had a scar above it. My cheeks were red and a bit swollen and my lip was busted. Making the lower left part of my lip swell up a bit. I push the mirror away and sigh, running a hand tiredly through my face. The bartender laughs a bit before she bends down and returns the mirror.

"Did you get into a fight?" She asks cleaning another glass she picks up. I nod before stuffing my hand into my pocket.

"Yeah, way too many," I say making her giggle and shake her head. I take my phone out of my pocket and look at the time before I look at the kitchen door and sigh.

"Um, sorry but uh," I say making the bartender pause what she's doing to look at me "Aren't the fries supposed to be ready by now? You know since they only warming em and all" I say making her turn to look at the door before she looks back at me.

"Yeah. It actually is. Hold on a second" She says before she starts walking towards the kitchen. "Kena, what's the hold-up?" She says and opens the door and enters inside. I sigh before dragging one of the chairs close to the bar and sit on it, resting my head on the wooden board separating the bar from the customers. I start to sing a song to myself before I hear the bell of the restaurant. I turn to see who it is and see a guy wearing a black hoodie with his head faced down walk-in, his hand inside his hoodie pockets. He starts to walk towards the bar where and I am and the bartender comes out on cue with my food in her hand but a strong and very readable emotion in her eyes and behavior.
