"Would you move?" Aurora snapped. Filch had them clean the storage closet, and Aurora was feeling claustrophobic. "There's not much space to move, Rors!" Sirius said. He was trying to figure out the best way to apologize. He didn't do apologizing very well. "I'm sorry," He blurted out. "For?"
"For calling you a pureblood shitbag. I didn't mean it. I was just mad and I said something I didn't mean. Please, I miss you."
"Apology accepted. But, if you call me that once more, I'll never forgive you."
"Deal." By the time they finished their detention, they were best friends once again.

The days went by fast, and soon, Winter break was over and school started again. The Mauraders had plenty of fun together. They had many, many adventures, pranking people and such. Aurora only liked Severus more and more, day by day. Orion and Aurora mended their relationship and they were best friends again. Sirius and James laid off of Severus (at least when Aurora was around). Each full moon, Aurora gave Remus company. Each time, she came back with a new bruise. Each time, she had to convince him that it wasn't his fault. The teachers watched the Maurader's friendship evolve. By the end of the year, they were all like brothers and sister. Aurora even started getting closer to Peter. The school year was coming to a close, and the Mauraders weren't very happy with that. Especially Aurora and Sirius.
"I don't want to go back there," Sirius admitted on their last day. Aurora and James hugged him. Aurora still didn't have a place to stay. "Hey, time will pass by quick, okay? And soon enough, the five of us will be together once again," Aurora promised. She was going to miss her friends more than she let on. "This past year was the best year of my life. I'm going to miss you guys so much," She admitted. "What about you, Rors? Where would you stay?" Remus asked, concerned for his friend. Aurora shrugged. James smiled, "I actually talked to my parents...they're willing to let you stay with me!"
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure!" Aurora gave James a giant hug. She immediately felt bad for Sirius. Sirius scowled at James. He didn't want him stealing his girl. Even though, technically, she wasn't his girl. Not yet, anyways. They stayed awake for the entire night, not wanting to say goodbye to each other. Aurora laid on Sirius's and James's laps, while they all talked. Aurora sighed. She could talk to them for hours and hours and she'd never get bored. And when she didn't talk, she listened to James and Sirius talk. She loved their relationship. They were like brothers. James completed Sirius.
Aurora understood. It was nice being friends with someone whose life is so perfect. She was Remus's James, even though her life was far from perfect. She shook that thought from her head. Her life was perfect. Even though she got disowned from her family, she had this family. "Guys? I'm just...I just wanted to say. I'd much rather be a part of this family than my own family. Thank you guys, for being my family."
"Of course, Rors. We love you," Remus said.
"Some more than others," James muttered to Sirius. Sirius punched him in the arm in return.

"Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Potter," Aurora said to her hosts when she arrived. James's parents looked at each other and then at her. "It's our pleasure," Mrs. Potter said. They weren't so sure about letting the Cresswell girl stay with them, but James pointed out that if she was anything like the Cresswells, she wouldn't have gotten disowned. "Er, James? Why don't you show your guest to her room?" Mr. Potter suggested, breaking the silence.
"Follow me, Rors," He said and lead her upstairs. "This is the guest room. My room is the one right next to yours."
"Your parents hate me."
