I run back to the dorm and slowly slip in not wanting to wake the lads and put my exercise book into my secret pouch along with my journal

I breathe a sigh of relief reliving the fact that Evans almost saw the contents of the book.
Even my friends are not allowed to look into it let alone my crush.

That's right...I've had feelings for Evans since my third year at Hogwarts but she still never accepted to go on a date with me. But I was pretty confident that one day I'll get my date with her.

I look around and see Sirius and Remus cuddled on one bed and Peter on his bed with his arm and leg dangling off the bed.

I consider laying down for a moment but my anxiety gets the best of me and in another moment I find myself skipping down the stairs towards Evans.

"I'm back baby doll" I announce as I move towards the seat beside Lily.

"don't call me that" she snapped and I smirk at her ignoring the warning and jumping down on the seat.

"So Evans" I start " How about you and me go on a date" I ask looking into her bottle green eyes.

She rolls her eyes at me.

" didn't I tell you off today"
"I'd bloody go on a date with the giant Squid than you Potter" she growls at me.

"that was yesterday Evans" I say nonchalantly

"Bugger off Potter" she flips me off.

I remain quiet for some time while she pours herself some more tea.

I have no idea what to tell her that she agrees to go on a date with me.

Sirius and Remus have been dating for a while now but I don't think they can suggest some strategy to get a date from Evans.

Sirius who was like my brother and best friend would come up with some crazy shit and Remus would lecture me on and on about this and that to do when I'm near Evans.

But I want her to like me for me, not some other forced version of me. So I decide to ask Evans what would change her opinion about me

"Evans" I call her with a low voice and I try to maintain a straight face.

"what now?" she looks over at me certainly annoyed but softens a tiny bit when she sees the serious look on my face.

"What do I have to do for you to go on a date with me?" I ask in a low rumbling voice looking down at my trainers.

She studies me for a moment, I could sense her eyes on me

She takes a deep breath and tucks her legs underneath her sitting on the couch and maintaining a cool composture, turns to me.

"Look Potter.. For Merlin's sake stop asking me out "

"If you think anything you change will soften my heart, you're wrong "

"I'm never going on a date with you "

"But for me to change the impression on you,  you'll have to stop bullying people, try being a bit decent and deflate your egoistic head. Try to be responsible and grow up ".

She states with a cold demeanor and gets up straightening her robes. I look into her eyes as she turns away and disappear towards the girls dorms.

I release a breath I didn't know I was holding onto.

I agree that Evans doesn't have a good impression on me but to be acting that cold towards someone you've known for 5 years....

"That was a bit harsh" I mumble to myself as I rest back in the seat and drifting off to sleep.
