Sometimes, dealing with a problem requires talking about it but after last night, I was feeling guilty for talking that way to Evans. She might have asked for it but it was never my intention to say what I said but still here I am regretting every word I said to her.

She was here to celebrate and enjoy Alice's birthday but I think I ruined it.

After I spoke those words, she didn't even turn around to look at me but just went down to her room.

It was 7 am and I was sure no one else was awake but I needed to get out and run down my frustrations.

I change into a casual T-shirt with a pair of track pants and slid on my shoes before slipping through my room and going out to the front yard and started running towards the patch of forest on our property.

Running through trees and bushes, jumping over fallen branches I let out every drop of anger, frustration and worry in the form of sweat.

I get back to the manor in an hour and hop into the shower drenching myself in cold water. After cleaning up and pulling on a pair of loose black trousers with a light blue shirt with my sleeves pulled up.

I get down to the kitchen and dismiss the elves to go clean the yard while I work on breakfast for everyone who'll slowly be descending down from their rooms.

I get myself busy with work frying bacon and sausages, scrambling some eggs and tossing some bread on to the pan to toast them. I immerse myself so deeply that I fail to notice Evans coming down the stairs and standing at the other side of the counter.

"Morning Potter " she says making me jump which made her instinctively move back and hit back the wall resulting in her getting a scratch from the fork.

"Merlin Evans, didn't your parents teach you not to sneak up on someone when they are in kitchen" I half yell looking at her while pulling the pan off the stove to stop the bread from getting burnt.

She let out a sharp breath of pain and I notice a cut on her forearm bleeding out.

I instantly move towards her and press a towel onto her wound to stop bleeding.

Realising that I didn't have my wand, I slowly took off the towel and muttered a spell under my breath running my index finger on the would making it heal. While she watched in shock.

I repeat the process another three times to fully close the wound and dispose the towel into the dustbin.

"How did you do that?" she asked in awe while I start making omelets.

"what, cook breakfast?" I ask her, well aware of the fact that she was asking about me performing wandless magic.

"no, oh God Potter, you know very well what I am asking about" she says with a frown while I slip the omelette onto a plate and sliding it towards her.

"Have some" I say also placing some bacon and a sausage on her plate.

"don't try to steer this conversation in another direction potter" she said sternly while taking a whiff of aroma coming from her freshly made breakfast smiling at the plate.

"and this smells so good" she says pulling it towards her.

"I performed wandless magic" I say slowly looking directly at her emerald green eyes.

"isn't it supposed to be very advanced" she asks taking a bite of her omelette making an adorable face.

"hmm" I respond "I've learnt some basics".

As I'm speaking Remus enters the kitchen grabbing a bacon strip from Lily's plate.

"It's mine" Lily scolds him playfully and moves her plate away from him.

"you think James can't fix me a plate". He asks her raising a brow.

She starts to respond but I interrupt her and speak to him.

"Remus we need to talk" I say with a serious expression set on my face.

"Are you breaking up with me?, don't we have enough breakfast?, at least our chocolate supplies and no-" he asks not seeing my expression but stops once he looks at me.

Lily also stiffens a little realising what I was going to tell him and fiddles with her fork while keeping her gaze down.

"library" I tell him and walk out of the door after giving lily a glass of orange juice.

"Lily knows" I say walking into the library closely followed by Remus.

"What that you like her?" he asks not knowing where this conversation was going.

"No, about our furry little problem" I say and his face colour completely drains and he becomes white as a sheet knees wobbling and falls back into the chair.

"How" he asks with much difficulty.

"She figured out about it in 4th year" I say recalling the conversation looking carefully at Remus.

"How do you know she knows? " he asks fixing his gaze on me.

I explain everything to him except the last bit of the conversation and pat his back softly.

"listen Rey, even if she knows, she doesn't care and I think you should talk to her. You know her better than me and I think you can trust her with your secret. That's is all I have to say" I say as I pull a chocolate bar from my trousers and place it on the coffee table and move back to the kitchen.

I walk back to the kitchen to find Frank and Alice sitting together with Lily helping themselves to breakfast.

"It's excellent mate" Frank says while he sees me walking in while lily looks at me from the corner of her eyes.

"It's your first time tasting James Cooking right?,... You'll soon get used to it" Alice says to Frank grinning at me while buttering a toast.

"I'm not your personal chef Ali, and no, Frank is not getting familiar with my cooking" I say teasingly making Alice pout, Frank fake hurt and Lily to laugh.

I made lily Evans laugh.

Remus walks in with a somber expression and asks for lily to be excused for a while.

She looks at me and I give her a comforting smile nodding my head that everything was going to be okay and she walks away from the kitchen towards the library.
