"NOW THAT you know your roles, it's time for us to move on to the next phase!" Professor Morayta announced after everyone in every team picked their card. Muli siyang sumenyas sa mga execom member na may kinuhang gamit sa isang storage box. "Bago natin simulan ang agawan ng bandila, you need to design your flags first. Meron tayong painting materials doon sa isang sulok."
Kalma, Lori. Binabagabag pa rin ako ng nabunot kong traitor card. Tama nga yata si Loki. Mukhang minamalas ako ngayong araw. But I was still thankful that betraying the team was only an option. I could remain loyal to them and ignore the fact that I got the unfortunate card.
Inabutan kami ng isang puting tela na nakatupi pa. Inilahad ito ni Jamie sa sahig at nagmistulang plantsa ang kanyang palad.
"I have zero artistic talent, so I'm gonna leave the flag design in your capable hands," Loki said as he turned the page of the small rulebook. Umupo siya sa tabi at nagpanggap na hindi kami nakikita.
"May naisip na ba kayong design?" Hindi rin ako masyadong biniyayaan pagdating sa arts kaya ipapaubaya ko na rin 'to sa kung sinumang talented. I hope one of us was artistically inclined.
"Wala bang official na logo ang QED Club?" tanong ni Jamie.

I agreed with her first statement and intentionally ignored the second one. "So no to vague symbols that can be easily misinterpreted by other people."
"I have an idea!" Inilabas ni Jamie ang kanyang phone at in-open ang isang drawing app. "What if ganito ang maging official logo natin?"
Alistair and I leaned closer to Jamie to see what she's drawing. Nanatili lang sa magkahiwalay na tabi ang magkapatid na Mendez na walang pakialam sa activity.
Gumuhit siya ng malaking bilog at dinagdagan ng buntot sa lower right na bahagi. Nagmukhang letter "Q" ang drawing niya. But she did not stop there. She drew a diamond inside the circle and split it using a vertical line. She then drew a horizontal line on the left half of the diamond.
"Voila!" Jamie stretched her arms wide as if she was done with a magic trick. "Behold, our official club logo!"
I took a closer look at her art masterpiece. Noong una'y nalito ako kung ano ang nire-represent nito. Was it a magnifying lens with random lines and shapes inside? But I soon realized why it was designed that way. I could make out the letters Q, E, and D from it.
