Link makes you a meal that helps your body heal itself faster so that the two of you can get back on the road. It still hurts but it's a little more bearable. There is still an awkward air between the two of you as you ride in silence. It's hard for you to admit that you may have bitten off more than you could chew when deciding to leave with the stranger beside you.

"Why is he so difficult to talk to you?" you silently ask yourself while sneaking glances at the blonde boy every so often. It is almost impossible not to admire him. He's strong, brave, and seems to be very caring. You surprise yourself by listing all your favorite qualities about him. You know so very little about him yet the thought of leaving him makes you sad. Maybe it's the fact that you would be safer in his company or maybe it's because you have never been alone with a boy before. You are unsure of which it truly is, but that doesn't matter in the long run since you will be going your separate ways.

"Uhm... Link," you ask quietly. He looks up at you without saying a word. This is the sign to continue with what you are going to say. "I know we agreed that you would drop me off at the first village we came to, but I didn't think that it would be so soon."

"What are you trying to say? Do you want to continue further on the journey with me?" he asks somewhat surprised.

"If you'd let me of course. But yes, I want to stay with you a little while longer," you confess.

"I'm sorry, but we had an agreement. Plus you got injured and could have died because of me. I really can't afford to worry about you. I have important matters to attend to. You'll be safer without me around," Link sourly explained. You expected that to be his answer, but knowing that you at least tried, was of some comfort to you.

"Yeah, I get it. I just thought I'd ask."

* Time skip about three days *

You and Link are on the last couple of miles until you reach Kakariko Village. A mixture of nervousness, excitement, and disappointment floods your brain. For the past 30 minutes, Link had been describing the village with great admiration. He had briefly mentioned Impa but seemed to hold back on information about her. He sang high praise of these two little girls named Koko and Cottla. He goes on and on about how precious they are. With Link beaming from ear to ear, you can't help but feel a little cheerful yourself. You feel like you've already been to the village with all the detail Link is giving.

Those two miles quickly pass by and you approach large, red archways covered in paper talismans.

"This is it," Link states.

You can feel yourself tense up a bit as you continue forward. This is it. The end of your journey with Link. As the village comes into view, you can't help but gasp.

"Wow! It's amazing!", you exclaim. You look over to Link who is now grinning at your reaction.

"It is, isn't it?" He agrees.

You ride your horses to the bottom of the hill and dismount them. Link tells you that he has to talk to Impa about something and it could take a while, so he suggests that you check out the shops and figure out something to eat. You watch as he ascends the large stairs and enters a huge building where you assume Impa must live.

Just before he enters the building, he talks to a young girl with white hair and a strange mark on her forehead. You have never seen anything like it before, so you stand there for a minute and observe the girl. Link and the mysterious girl chat for a short time before he finally goes inside. The girl goes back to her cleaning, but you can hear her, ever so softly, say something about the blonde boy. You are too far to hear exactly what she says, but close enough to know the word 'Link' slipped from her mouth.
