This chapter is dedicated to all my new reader out there

After disposing the trash I took a stroll down the street to clear my head a bit and to calm down. I was super hungry so I branched to a nearby eatery to eat, ordered spaghetti and fanta, ate, drank and left. On my way home I bumped into Mirabel, one of the popular girls at school; though I have been in school for a day I already know her and her minions. She rubbed way too much make up for a 15 or 16 year old, her skirt is super tight and short, she wears all this annoying heels that goes 'click' while walking plus she didn't fail to rub Ikenna on everyone's faces, always trying to show that her and Ikenna gat something going on.

"Well well well, if it isn't the newbie Amanda", she said in her annoying high pitch voice which sounded fake. As usual she was with Ikenna.
"Hi", I said stretching out my hand to shake her.
"Eww, do you expect me to shake that thing you call a hand?
"What's wrong with it?
"Well, if you don't know, people of my status don't roll with people like you, you poor thing. Just take a look at your cloth." Is this girl really insulting me because I choose to dress comfy and decent while she barely wears a cloth that covers her body.

"If you won't shake the hand then don't but I won't stand here and watch you insult me. Who the hell do you think you are to do so?"
"I am Mirabel Eze, daughter to Hon. Emeka Eze. If you didn't know, my dad is the minister of education and he was among the sponsors of our prestigious school", she said while flipping her hair.
"Lest I forget I'm also the girlfriend and wife to be of Ikenna here", she said as she hugged his arm to show they're a couple, I couldn't help but laugh at what she said which drew ikenna's attention from his phone.

"I'm sorry...but...did you...say wife to be?" I burst out laughing.
"Yes I did, why are you laughing like a classless idiot?"
"I'm sorry honey but with the amount of make up on your face I don't think your relationship will last long. Besides love na scam especially secondary school love but don't worry you'll learn it the hard way."
"Mtcheww, what does a poor girl like you know, I don't have time to waste on you yet. Babe lets go", with that she literally dragged Ikenna with her and I continued my journey home.

Once I reached home I met dad in the parlor watching the news, I went into the kitchen to prepare something for him to eat. I tied the dogs to one of the cabinets and placed their food in front of them, they ate and were fast asleep almost immediately. I warmed Egwusi soup for him and made eba, once ready I served him and went to my room without talking to him. I connected my phone to my speaker and played music while doing the physics assignment we were given, I started school a week after school resumed thus I was running behind schedule.

After doing my homework I completed all my notes then laid on the bed reading another story as usual, I was almost done with story when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in", I said and dad walked into the room looking sad.
"Sweetie can we talk?"
"Sure", I sat up on my bed to listen to what he had to say.
"I'm really sorry for what happened earlier, I was angry, it wasn't my intention to hit you. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me"
"Its fine dad, I've forgiven you. I'm sorry for being careless with dogs, it won't repeat itself again I promise. "

"Okay"
"But dad what's so special about the vase? "
"Well it was the only thing I had left of your mom"
"Ohh"
"Yea, while we were younger your mom had a thing for vases, on our one year anniversary while dating in university days she got me the vase as a symbol of her love, ever since then I've kept it. I don't think she remembered it sef. "
"I'm sorry dad, I didn't know the vase meant so much to you"

"Its fine, it's pointless now that we're divorced"
"Dad, do you still love mom?"
"Yes I do sweetheart"
"Then why did you guys divorce?"
"Because she cheated on me honey, you already know that"
"Yes I do but you know you could have forgiven her right?"
"Yes I did but she never stopped. After every apology she went back to her cheating ways countless times, I had to let her go because it was obvious she wasn't happy with me"
"I totally understand you daddy but not to fear, I will be your second wife"
"Huh?"

"Yes, I'll take very good care of you, even better than mom did sef"
"Thanks sweetie", dad said while smiling which made me to smile back at him.
"so how was your first day at school?"
"It was okay shaa, I made a new friend today, her name is Jennifer and she's very nice
"That's nice; by the way the boys will be back by weekend"
"Okay daddy"
"I'll be in my room if you need me. Goodnight sweetie"
"Goodnight dad", he kissed my forehead and left the room. I finished up the story I was reading and went to bed.

That's a wrap up for this chapter.

I'm sorry I didn't update on Wednesday as I was supposed to, something came up that I had to attend to but your girl is back for good.

I'm going to try to drop a bonus chapter to make up for the one I missed.

The next chapters are going to be hot, I promise you that. But in the meantime enjoy this one. I know it's short, will make the next longer and juicer than this one.
