I dragged myself to my room and collapsed on the bed, I was over exhausted. After resting for a minute I took a shower, had a change of clothes and fed the dogs. I plugged in my phone and laid on my bed for a while but ended up sleeping for thirty minutes, I woke up feeling really hungry. I went to the kitchen and prepared noodles with egg which I ate while watching TV.

After eating, I went to my room and read another story for thirty minutes before deciding to study and do my chemistry homework. It was currently 8pm, after 4 long hours I was done reading biology, chemistry and maths. Dad was gonna be back anytime soon so I warmed up some soup for him and made eba. I went to my room after tidying up a bit after the little mess I made while making the eba, I approached my table and brought out my laptop.

I charged it for the first time then browsed how to set it up and use it. After 10 long minutes I mastered the basis I needed to know to use the laptop. I downloaded some educational videos on the topics we've been taught and watched them while munching on some chips. I was done a little bit passed 10, dad called me to open the door for him and I ran down to do so. Dad looked so tired and exhausted, I totally understood how he felt.

"Daddy welcome", I greeted him as I carried his laptop bag and guided him to the dinning.
"Thank you my daughter. You don't know how tired I am right now"
"You don't have to say that twice, it's showing all over your face. Don't worry I got you covered, sit here let me get you something to eat"
"Please be fast, I'm very hungry", I set his food in front of him. He washed his hand and dug right into the food. I went back to my room and laid on my bed with Angela and Toby beside me, I glanced through Instagram watching some videos and chatting with a few people before sleeping off.

"Beep beep beep", my alarm rang. I turned it off and went back to bed.
"Bark bark bark" Angela and Toby started barking vigorously and jumping on me.
"What a way to be woken up early in the morning", I murmured to myself. They kept barking and jumping.
"Okay okay jeez, I'm awake", I got up from the bed and stretched. I was still feeling sleepy so I washed my face with cold water which took away every atom of sleep from me instantly, it was currently 4am in the morning. I did my workout routine then showered and got ready for school.

By 5:15 I was dressed and ready for school. With my bag in my hand I headed downstairs to prepare breakfast. After much consideration I settled on having cereal which I ate while reading. Time passed by and I hadn't touched my food, I was too engrossed in my books that I forgot about my surrounding. A kiss to my forehead brought me back to reality, I looked up and saw dad was ready for work.

"Good morning daddy"
"Morning sunshine. How was your night?"
"Was fine and yours?"
"Was okay. From the looks of things you've been awake for a while now"
"Nop, woke up by 4, it's still around 5:45 nah, I still have an hour left"
"An hour ke? Shey you know it's 6:45 already? I don't know what you're saying oo"
"6:45!!! Chisos, did I spend so much time on my books? I thought I've spent only ten minutes"

"My daughter, don't you ever get tired of reading ehh? You're reading too much even to the extent that you forget what's happening around you. That's how they'll kidnap you and you won't know because you're reading. If it's not your books it's one story or the other or a novel, nawa oo"
"Daddy you and I know that if I want to get into medicine I have to be the best. I want to beat the best student in my school"
"I'm sure you will sweetheart"
"Thanks dad", I said smiling from ear to ear.
"You're welcome, now finish your breakfast let me take you to school"
"Yes dad", I dropped my book and quickly finished my breakfast, washed my plates and we left the house.

I arrived school by 7am on the dot, thank God there was no traffic. We had assembly by 7:16 and by 8 we were settled in class for our first period which was maths. The teacher walked into the class and we stood up to greet him
"Good morning sir, you're welcome to our class, may God bless you", he signalled for us to seat down and we did.
"Where did we stop last week?"
"Logarithm sir"
"Okay, who can solve this equation", he said as he wrote the equation on the board. The whole class was silent for a while till Mirabel spoke up
"I sir", she said getting all our attention. She looked at me and smirked then cat walked to the board and took the marker.

"Hmmmm, this one she volunteered, seems like she read or is good in maths?", I asked still shocked she raised up her hand.
"Don't be too fast to conclude. Just watch the show that will happen", I watched as she kept writing and cleaning like she knew what she was doing. After fifteen long minutes she finally step aside so we could see what she did. All I saw were mathematical blunders, how can someone be so stupid to make such a mistake and fail such an easy question.

"Thank you miss Mirabel, you can go and have your seat", feeling fly and accomplished in life she walked back to her chair. The teacher turned to look at her work then turned to face the class
"This is the total definition of mathematical abomination. How stupid exactly are you or does your iq diminish every second?", He said every word with so much venom as he cancelled her work and wrote abomination on it. Everyone laughed, well everyone but I and Mirabel who looked shocked, in as much as I don't like Mirabel, this man was too mean to have done that.
