"I think, I love you."

Izuku blinked, taking a moment to register what was just said, "what." It wasn't exactly a question as he blurted what came to mind, his mind ran several miles an hour, -which was really a few minutes-, creating questions that honestly made no sense.

"I think I love yo--" Shoto went to repeat, being the oblivious and clueless idiot he his.

"No." Izuku interrupted, "no. I know what you said. Just- just what? Love? What? I- that just-" He began to ramble, his words incoherent as he began to pace. His heart rate picked up and his breathing grew much heavier. He wasn't panicking, no, he was, excited?

"Izuku." Shoto tried, the male continuing to ramble.

Why was he even reacting such way? Izuku didn't even know as he began to blurt the useless questions in his head. It was out character and definitely something he wouldn't do around the others, or anyone at all. So, why?

"Izuku." Shoto blinked as the boy only seemed to grow louder, deaf to Shoto's calls.

"Izuku!" Shoto raised his voice, causing the greenette to freeze.

Shoto grabbed the boy's sleeve, Izuku looking down at his hand in surprise, all while avoiding the male's gaze. Maybe it was the fact that Toga's words were still in his head, or maybe it had something to do with the fact he knew she was right, in some way, a way he's not yet used to, a way he's never experienced, she was right.

Deep down Izuku knew, that maybe, he loved Shoto too.

Shoto stared at him, Izuku cautiously lifting his head to meet his gaze. He looked vulnerable, lost, scared. A look Shoto didn't want to see on him, a look Shoto hated to see on him.

"I.." Izuku froze, his mouth opening and closing, "I don't understand the first thing about love. I don't know what's it like to love someone or what it feels like to even be loved..." He trailed, as he backed away, removing his sleeve from Shoto's grip, -which, fortunately, wasn't a tight hold-.

Shoto looked down at his now empty hand, "I don't either..but..."

"But...?" Izuku asked, looking up with caution.

Shoto held his hand out to the male, "let's find that out together." He smiled, something Izuku wasn't expecting as he blinked in surprise, "'Cause I'm pretty sure what I feel for you... Is love."

Izuku stared at Shoto, before his eyes drifted down to his outstretched hand. His green eyes held caution and hesitance as he slowly placed his hand in Shoto's, the other's face softening, losing the usual blank features.

"Will you..." Shoto began, gaining Izuku's attention once again, "will you trust me?"

Trust

That was something Izuku never really held for anyone, something he couldn't do. Trust, was so hard for him to give after everything he's been through.

And yet.

"Yes..."

He gave it to him easily.
