When I get home from school I talk with my mom for a little as she tells me that nick is coming back from his business trip on Saturday, so tomorrow
"I'm going to go up to my room before dinner is that alright?" I ask my mom
"sure honey, ill call you down"
"okay thanks!" I say before heading up stairs and throwing on a purple hoodie and grabbing my computer to start some homework
About an hour later I've just been trying to finish my schoolwork but then I get a text

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I'm heading to work but when chase came home he seemed a bit off and I just left him alone, so if you could check on him please?
Chase might have just still been off since school, so I guess I can?

I reply with that then finish up my schoolwork and look at my clock as its almost seven
"hey mom I'm going to go out for a little ill be back okay?" I ask
"yeah ill re heat the dinner when you come home" she says
"okay bye!" I yell
"drive safe!" I hear before I close the door and walk up to my jeep that has been getting fixed for like the past month
I turn on some music as I drive to chases house and he only lives about 10 minutes away

When I get their I pull in and turn off the music and turn off the car then walk up to the door and knock
I knock a couple more times and no response
I look over and see chase's motorcycle, so I know he's here
"chase!" I knock again then touch the knob
It turns open so I walk in
"chase!" I yell again but then am stopped at the disturbing noise upstairs

My heart sinks
My legs find their way running up the stairs as I almost trip heading to his room
The door is almost open as I open that one to stop dead in my tracks again
"chase" I whisper as I take in his room
Recked and broken
He's sitting on the edge side of his head with his hands in his hair with his head in his lap as I look at his feet to a broken mirror and a broken vase with glass pieces next to it

I walk over carful not to hurt myself as I Neal down in between his legs and touch his arms
"chase.." I whisper again
He just shakes his head not looking up
"chases look at me" I say
"I can't.." he chokes, and the sound of his voice breaks me after his sniffle
"please chase look at m-" I cut myself off as he lets me pull his face up to see him and his bloodshot teary stained cheeks.
"tell me what happened?" I ask
"I can't" he says again
"why did you break this stuff" I ask
"I was mad.." he trials off
"why were you mad?" I ask as I see his breathing increase
"fucking bitch!" he yells looking up but not at me
"chase please calm dow-"
"he did this, he was the one who ruined her" he tells me
"who are you talking about?" I ask
What?
"he was the one, he did it he ruined her he's a fucking dick" he says as he picks up another vase and throws it against the wall
"chase!" I snap coming over to him grabbing his cheeks and making him look at me
"breathe" "breathe in" "and breathe out" I repeat
I look into his shattered eyes before almost roughly pulling him into a his as he hugs me burying his head in my back
He mutters something to me, but I can't hear it
"say it again" I say softly
"my dad." He says and I feel myself stop breathing
How did it not know of course he was the one who ruined her
