Michael's POV

"Carly please listen." I fallow her downstairs. She turns around to face me. "I don't see the problem! You have always wanted more kids!" She yells red in the face. I rub my eyes in irritation. "The problem is that we didn't talk about it. Instead you went and told the twins! Now Lily is excited and Rose is mad!" I yell back.

"So what? We have been together for six years! We are going to have kids eventually! Why not now?" She puts her hand on her hips and i shake my head. Before i can answer the twins run downstairs.

"Hey guys we are having breakfast out today." Rose announced smiling. One thing i know about my daughter is she never smiles. She always has a blank face. I'm to curious now. "Why are you smiling?" I turn to her pointing my finger at her face.

The twins laugh but it's a nervous one. "It's nothing dad, can't she just smile?" Lily asks her smile bigger than usual.

I point to them back and forth. "That's it. I'm going with you." I grab my keys happy to be getting out of here. Carly snaps her head in my direction "What? No Mike we're having a discussion right now!"

I look at her. "All the more reason to leave." She glares at me and i walk out the door. The twins reluctantly get in the car with me. "You know dad you really don't have to come with. We are almost 20 we're not gonna do anything bad." Rose complains.

"I don't care i wanna see what makes my twins so happy and i get out of arguing with Carly, again win-win." I tell them already driving off. They look at each other worried. "Come on girls breakfast with your dad is not that bad. So where are we going?" Lily sighs in defeat.

"We are.... we...hmm..we are going to Reynas." Lily whisper. Rose hits her in the arm. "Dude!" Lily shrugs. "What? I don't see the big deal anyway" I frown looking at them through the rear view mirror. They still refuse to use the passenger seat since it's Darling's.

Carly is the only one that uses that now.

"Reynas? I haven't been there in years. That used to be Darling's favorite café." I tell them already thinking about Darling. Not like it's rare for me to think about her.

I can't believe she just disappeared after graduation without saying goodbye. I don't have her new number so i could never called or text after she changed it. I used to in the beginning but she must have grown tired of my calls.

I once tried getting into the twins phones to get her number but that thing has more passwords than the US government files. "Why were you and Carly arguing again?" Lily asks concerned clear on her face.

"Yeah you guys are breaking up?" Rose said with excitement. I can never understand why Rose doesn't like her. "ROSE!" Lily yells at her twin. "No we were arguing because we never talked about having kids but she told you girls we are. Which is a lie." I explain and Lily's smile drops.

"Yes thank god!" Rose cheers.

"Why? Dad you have been with her for six years is going to happen anyways." Lily whines. "I don't want more kids." I add hoping she would drop it.

"That's a lie." Lily folds her arms. "Okay then i don't want to have kids right now." I shot back getting out of the car because we are at the Café.

"Just let him be Lily it's his decision and it's the right one." Rose tells Lily mumbling the last part to herself. I chuckle when she turns to me. "Dad would you stay in the car?" She adds.

I get out anyways. "Okay what's going on? Why on earth would you want me to wait in the damn car if you girls aren't doing anything bad huh?" I cross my arms and raise my eyebrow.

Lily sigh always being the first to give in. "Dad we are having breakfast with a friend. That's all but we want to do it alone. What 20 year old brings her dad to hang out?"

Okay she has a point but i want breakfast, im not going back to the house and im the dad so i can do whatever i want. "I'm coming." I leave no room to argue. I walk in and there are very little people. Friends at a table, an old couple in one and a couple kissing and laughing in the other.

Rose runs to that couple. "I have missed you so much!" I can't see because she is now blocking the view. The girl gets up. "I missed you girls too!"

I know that voice.

It's the voice i hear in my dreams.

It's DARLING!

Lily runs to her too and hugs her. The twins seat down and that's when we finally see each other. Her beautiful brown eyes widen in surprise. I take her in like the starving man i am.

"Michael?" She asks turning to the twins. They nod looking guilty. "I take it i wasn't meant to be here." I said still looking at her, that's all i want to do. Look at her before she disappears again.

"Who are you?" A voice asks next to her. I finally turn to see the guy with blonde hair. "I'm Michael the twins dad." I glare instantly hating him because he gets to be near her. I can't help but get jealous that he gets to touch her without her getting repulsed.

"Ohh your the one that took Darling in when she was sixteen. Hi I'm Malcom her boyfriend and hopefully one day her husband." He smiles looking at her. She blushes and smiles back.

FUCK FUCK FUCK!

I swallow the lump in my chest. "It's nice to meet you." I force a smile before turning to Darling. "Husband? Isn't that a little to fast?" We all sit down. He shakes his head while the girl looks everywhere but me. "I would have married her on the first date but she wanted to wait for us to be solid."

"And now you are?" I raise an eyebrow. Rose smiles nodding. "Of course dad they have been together for years." My body because tens at that. "Years?" I repeat hoping i hear wrong.  Lily nods "three."

No no no no.

"Oh" I look at Darling's Beautiful face. She nods and smiles up at Malcom. "Yep, but enough about us." She turns to the twins and Malcom puts his arm around her shoulder, she leans in. Every little gesture let's me know that he makes her happy.

Happier than i could ever make her. He doesn't come with the badge like i do. "What happened to the transfer test?" Her voice snaps me out and i turn to the twins. The smile nervously. "We pass so next year we are moving to Washington." Lily said slowly looking at me.

"Since when?" I try to ask calmly. This is the first time i have ever heard then mention moving. "Three months ago...We were going to tell you but well now you know." Rose glares at Darling. "Ohhh shit" said Malcom in amusement.

Darling buries for face in his chest. "Sorry i didn't know it was a secret." She said with her head still buried. He hugs her to him smiling and he rubs her back.

I wish to be him right now more than anything.
