"We should get a real mission," Hiro whined punching one fist in front of him. "I'm getting tired of these stupid tasks!"
"Yeah!" Ayumi agreed, "I can't get any better by walking dogs and chasing cats!"
"I enjoy watching it," Kohei snickered.
Ayumi turned on her teammate, slamming a closed fist down on his head. "Shut up!" Kohei whined, squatting down and holding his head. Ayumi kept walking, feet and arms splayed out with angry stomps. Why did I have to get such a pervy teammate? She thought with a grumble. A flash of grey paused her next step, green eyes followed the movement of a rabbit. It ran behind a wire basket, peeking its head into the open. Its ears were long with black tips and its legs were long. Ayumi paused, narrowing her eyes on the animal. Being in the middle of a forest, rabbits were a regular occurrence.
"Yu-chan, are you coming?" Hiro called to her from the entrance to the Hokage tower. Ayumi stepped away from the rabbit.
"Coming!" The moment she turned her back and stepped away a closed fist landed on her head. "Ouch!"
"Watch your surroundings!" Hisaya chided, appearing with a puff of smoke.
Ayumi frowned, facing her teacher she swung at her. "We live in the middle of a forest! Rabbits are always around!" Hisaya blocked her arm, countering it with her own swing. They reached a stalemate of kicks and swings, each blocked by the other.
"That was a black-tailed jackrabbit! They're indigenous to desert climates, not forests!"
"I'm not a veterinarian! A rabbit is a rabbit!"
"You need to be able to tell the different breeds of animals!"
"Sensei, we need to report to Hokage-sama!" Hiro still called from the tower. Hisaya dropped down, swiping her leg out as Ayumi raised one to land a kick-instead she was swept off her foot. Her world went sideways, landing heavily on her sword forced coughs from her ribcage.
"You're right, Hiro-kun!" Hisaya acknowledged.
"Stupid, Sensei," Ayumi grumbled. She rocked to her side, moving to her hands and knees. She had to straighten her legs first to keep the sword from burying into the ground. Her hands went to her knees and he threw her head back to keep from falling forward. Success. She turned, seeing that both teammates and their sensei were already inside. "Stupid teammates. Stupid Sensei." Ayumi brushed off the back of her legs as well as she could while climbing the stairs. As she passed the waiting room, she could hear Kohei and Hiro arguing. Ayumi unzipped her boot and slipped it off. She slammed the door open and chucked the boot at the closest one. Hiro turned his head, the bottom of the boot mere centimeters from his nose as it nailed Kohei directly in the face. The brunet fell backwards. "That's for leaving me!"
Kohei threw her boot to the side, "you're the one who left me first!"
Ayumi paused seeing how he was right. Frowning she turned her back to him and crossed her arms, "your argument is invalid."
"Adonana-san." The door opened to reveal a shinobi dressed in all black wearing a white mask. An ANBU member. "Danzo has a mission for you."
"Is there no one else?" Hisaya questioned not moving from where she sat.
"There isn't."
"Very well." Hisaya stood and following the black op out of the room. Squad 11 watched her go with confusion. Ayumi looked back at her teammates.
