Kiritsugu passed on due to the curse inflicted upon him by the Corrupted Holy Grail, resulting in his body slowly turning into golden dust, thus leaving his adopted son, Shirou, alone.
The Red-haired boy looked up to the moon with tears in his eyes not caring whether anyone would call him weak or anything otherwise. The moon looked down upon the boy with pity, as it shone some moonlight on him.
He looked into the moon and saw s figure descending before him.
Shirou stared at the moon and couldn't clearly see the person but saw a girl...No, he saw a woman.
The Woman then engulfed him in a parental hug and comforted him in this cold and lonely world...He cried...
He shed unrelenting tears that flowed down from his eyes to his cheeks, to the ground below him.The woman kept hugging, not caring about her soon-to-be soaking wet clothing as she helped the boy accept reality and get over Kiritsugu's death.
The boy looked upon the woman that hugged him as he saw her hover above the ground while holding a bow and arrow.

Shirou: "W-w-who are y-you...?"
He stuttered as an enormous dog appeared in the backyard!
The woman took aim and fired the dog's paw resulting in the dog growling, attempting to pounce on the woman!
The woman struggled and managed to knock it away, before drawing her knife and slashing it at the Dog's stomach, as the dog slowly staggered and whimpered.
Artemis tried to deal the finishing blow, only for more dogs to appear in the backyard.
Three in total including the injured one...
Shirou wanted to help and traced the woman's knife and conjured two knives in his hands!
He charged in and swiftly dealt with the injured dog as the woman shot one of the other dogs, as Shirou and the woman drew their bow and shot the last dog in the head and stomach!
Shirou: "W-w-what w-were those...?"
He asked as the adrenaline began to die down and caused him extreme fatigue, shocking his Magic Circuits.Shirou was now moving like a drunk before being caught in the woman's embrace.
Shirou: "You haven't answered my question...?"
Woman: "What was the question?"
Shirou: "What were those...?"
Woman: "Those were hellhounds... they were trying to hunt me..."
Shirou: "Who are you...?"
Woman: "Me? I am the one who guided Kiritsugu to find you..."
Woman: "I'm the Goddess of The Hunt and the Moon..."
Then something clicked inside of Shirou's mind.
He had traced her knife and had realized who just saved him...
Shirou: "A-a-Artemis..."
He stuttered before blacking out.
Woman: "I am Artemis..."
Artemis: "And you are my Adopted Son... choosing you to be my son after the tragedy that transpired."
She said as she carried him into his room and laid him on his bed.
Then she walked out of the house and went outside, observing the moon.
Artemis: "It seems that this is going to be morning..."
Artemis: "I should get ready to cook breakfast..."
She said as she wore an apron and cleaned the cooking utensils, before prepping the ingredients...
She then went back into Shirou's room and placed a kiss on his forehead before leaving, but as she walked to the door, she felt a hand holding hers...
She sighed before summoning a chair into the room, holding Shirou's hand as he fell asleep.
She frowned as she saw that he had tears in his eyes, but she was now slowly smiling as the crying calmed down and he became calm almost instantly as she held both her hands to his unconscious form.
She then got her hand out of Shirou's grip and walked back into the kitchen.
Artemis Thoughts: 'It's a good thing that I'm not bound by Ancient Law, but I hope The Hunt does not get suspicious of our sudden trip to this area in Japan...'
She thought to herself before continuing to cook...
