Her Affection

Chapter 6

Kaden's POV

I just finished my hot shower and I am checking my wardrobe now. I can't seem to decide what to wear.

Maybe a white polo and a blue vest. That's it! I think that would be great!

I went out of my room and found out that everyone is in the living room watching some show.

"Oh, Look at Kaden. She looks so charming and handsome today. Where are you going at this hour?" Kat asked while putting on a big smile.

"I am just going out with a friend. I am sure what time will I go home. I will just bring the extra key." I nervously answer Kat. Everyone is staring at me with a judging look.

"Ahh, friend. I'm pretty sure you will not come back until the morning, so enjoy and have fun!" Kat while teasing me with her tongue sticking out.

"I will. Thanks. Bye, everyone!" I waved goodbye and went directly to the door and waited for a cab.

While in the cab, I nervously check my phone for the time and message from Sam. I don't want to be late for our first meeting. It's only 7:30 pm. I am very early. Am I too excited? No, I just don't want Sam to be waiting.

I arrived at the coffee shop and decided to order a cup of coffee. I sat down near the entrance so I can immediately see Sam. I was looking at the view of the outside garden when my phone rings.

"Hi Sam, I'm here at the coffee shop."

"Oh, you are early. I am on my way. How will I know it's you? haha"

We never thought about it earlier. "Well, I'm wearing a white polo and blue vest."

"Okay. I am wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. I'm wearing my hair down."

"Copy that. See you soon, Sam."

"See you, Kaden."

My heart is beating so fast. Shocks! Is it the coffee? Is it Sam? My heart beats likes it's going to explode anytime. I hope I won't mess up when I am in front of Sam.

Sam's POV

I am on my way to the coffee shop. I am excited and anxious at the same time. 

Do I look okay? I keep staring at myself on my phone's camera. What if she is expecting too much? Well, I am pretty I know but I cannot be compared to the girl she loved on the dating site. What was her name? Duh, I forgot, nevermind. No need to pretend, just be yourself, Sam. She said to herself. 

I decided to call Kaden to let her know that I am on my way. I searched for her number on my phonebook and called her. 

"Hi Sam, I'm here at the coffee shop."

"Oh, you are early. I am on my way. How will I know it's you? haha"

Damn! I forgot to ask this earlier. It is embarrassing. A thought came to my mind, I am meeting a complete stranger. What am I doing?

 "Well, I'm wearing a white polo and blue vest." Kaden's voice on the other line.

"Okay. I am wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. I'm wearing my hair down."

"Copy that. See you soon, Sam."

"See you, Kaden."

When we finished the call, I realized that I did not think of this carefully. What if she is a bad person? Damn! I should be prepared to run. Good thing I am not wearing my heels now.
