Her Affection

Chapter 7

Kaden's POV

Gosh, this office is so huge. I wonder what is Sam's position here. Why all of them are calling her Ma'am or boss? And who the hell is Jacob?  I was thinking while I looked at Sam's entered the room.

Sam's POV

I think she'll be okay. It won't take that long, hopefully. I think she has a lot of questions on her mind. 

I entered Isla's room. 

"Isla, good morning! Sorry to keep you waiting."

"Hi, Sam! Have a seat. No worries. I don't have many meetings today."

We settled on the couch and she gave me some coffee. 

"So, what is it that you want to talk about?" Isla said.

"Well, I just want to talk about vacation. I just realized that I really need it before I indulge myself in another busy work."

"Of course. I believe that you really deserve to have a rest. Like what I said earlier, everything will be shouldered by the company. It will be for two persons, so you can bring whoever you want. It's for 5 days vacation." 

"Wow! You are all so generous. I will take it but I don't have a destination yet. I will let you know probably tomorrow. It's my rest day until tomorrow, so I will think about it." 

"Well, if I may ask, as a friend, who will you take with you?" Isla said while holding my hands.

"Hmmn, honestly, I have no idea yet." At the back of my mind, I was thinking of Kaden. 

Isla shifted her position. "So, then who is the girl with you today?"

"Huh? Oh, She's a friend."  I said. 

Isla got up from the couch and walk over to her desk and picked up some documents. 

"Okay, your friend is cute. Well, here's your new job description, they came directly from the board of directors and were checked by Employee Relations. Your contract is also there. You can bring it back whenever you are done reading through it."

I accepted the documents and browse through them. Isla and talked for more than 45mins. 

"I will not take much of your time now, Isla. Also, my friend is waiting for me. We have to go somewhere." I said and stand up and gave Isla a hug.

Kaden's POV

So, Sam is one of the bosses here. Now I am getting scared. She is so accomplished. 

I was browsing thru my phone for some music and I tried to listen to RnB while waiting for her. 

10 minutes passed. It seems a week already. I'm getting bored and scared at the same time. I can the people on the platform staring at me and then they whisper to each other's ears. Well, I know that they are talking about me. The hell I care. 

I was about to close my eyes when suddenly I felt someone sat on the couch near me. It was Jacob. 

"Hi, there! Kaden right? 

"Yup!" I sat properly and removed my earphones. 

"How long have you known Sam?" He asked looking directly at my eyes.

Shit! I am so nervous. Will I tell him the truth? Shit, I might mess up.

"For a while now," I said looking at his eyes as well.
