We had our wedding within the year as we were very eager to be together officially. The ceremony was wonderful- I nearly broke down when we shared our vows. I just couldn't believe after all that time that we were finally together.

Afterwards we had the reception. To my surprise, John approached me and told me he needed to talk, so he pulled me aside.

"Listen, Lou. You don't need to worry about this feud anymore. I've got someone," he looked over and waved at his fiance,"and so do you. So, all I've got to say is congratulations. I give you my best wishes."

He stuck out his hand. I looked down and then looked back up at him. He smiled sincerely as I lifted my hand to meet his and we shook on it.

"Thank you," I finally replied.

And with that he was gone. It was finally over. No more pangs of guilt or horrors of wondering if it was really over.

Just then Jimmy came over to me.

"So, love, you've got things straightened out with Jonesy?"

I sighed in relief,"yes, I have."

He smirked as he grabbed my hands, interlocking his fingers with mine. "Are you ready to go home?"

I nodded eagerly as he pulled me out to the limousine. When we got inside he immediately pressed his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around him and smiled as he gently played with my hair.

He pulled away and looked me dead in the eyes. "I'm so glad you're finally mine. I know we're going to be together forever. You're my soulmate. I'll never leave you- and I hope you do the same," he chuckled.

"I love you, James."

He rolled his eyes. I guess he'd let me get away with it- probably just this time. But I knew many things awaited me in this new way of life under a new name: Louisa Mae Page.
