Metamorphosis

WAREHOUSE 

Dean and Ellie watch from outside as they see a man, possessed by a demon, sits tied to a chair in the center of a Devil's Trap. Sam is in front of him, interrogating; Ruby stands nearby. "Where's Lilith?" He asks. 
"Kiss my ass." The demon says as his eyes go black, Sam smiles at the comment causing Ellie to take a quiet breath in. 
"I'd watch myself if I were you." Sam snaps. 
"Why? Huh? Because you're Sam Winchester, Mr. Big Hero? And yet here you are slutting around with some demon. Real hero." The demon spits back. 
"Shut your mouth." Sam tells him. 
"Tell me about those months without your brother and sister. About all the things you and this demon bitch do in the dark." The demon teases. Outside, Ellie sees Dean getting more and more angry she grabs his hand squeezing it tightly. "Huh? Tell me, hero." Sam can't control his anger, he plants his feet and shuts his eyes in concentration. He extends his right hand towards the demon and he begins to heave as black smoke. Demon smoke then burns through the floor and Sam breathes, trying to get himself under control. Ruby looks down on the floor where the demon burned through with a little smile on her lips. She looks over at Sam, and they exchange a look and Sam gets a little smile as well. Sam goes up to the man and touches his neck to check is he has a pulse, which he does. 
"How'd it feel?" Ruby asks. 
"Good. No more headaches." Sam explains as he begins to untie the man.
"None? That's good." Ruby smiles as the man begins to wake up. 
"Hey, hey. I got you. It's all right." Sam tells him and helps the man out of his chair.  
Outside, Ellie turns to her brother. "Dean, don't go in all guns blazing, you look like you're gonna kill him." He ignores her and opens the door as Sam walks toward it. He stops in his tracks as Dean and Ellie walk in, Dean looking very angry. 
"So... Anything you wanna tell us, Sam?" Dean asks quickly. Sam looks innocent and Ruby stands behind him just watching them. Dean walks towards him as he talks. Ellie walks up slowly watching her brothers carefully. 
"Alright, hold on, okay? Just let me-" Sam starts.
"You gonna say, 'let me explain'? You're gonna explain this? How about this? Why don't you start with who she is, and what the hell is she doing here?" Dean snaps and looks at him hard. Sam turns back and looks at Ruby who looks completely calm, and even smiles as she responds to Dean.
"It's good to see you both again." Ruby says. Ellie raises her eyebrows as she takes a step forward.
"Ruby?" Ellie says and looks at Sam. "Is that Ruby?" Sam doesn't respond to this and Dean looks over at the demon again, who's smile is fading. After a moment, Dean grabs hold of her and shoves her up against the wall. He pulls out her knife and as he's about to strike Sam grabs his hand.
"Don't!" Sam shouts as Ellie rushes over to them and shoves them away from each other, Dean move past his sister and shoves Sam against the wall. Ruby then in turn grabs Dean and pins him against the wall. Ellie is quick to grab Ruby and right hook her in the face. 
"Don't touch my brother, you demonic bitch." Ellie spits, the demon goes to run at her but Sam stops her. 
"Ruby! Stop it!" He shouts. Ruby just stares at Dean and Ellie. Finally, she breathes out as Dean look over at his brother and the demon. 
"At least you're an obedient demonic bitch." Ellie states. 
"Ruby. Ruby, he's hurt." Sam says indicating the man who was possessed earlier. "Go." She gives Dean and Ellie one more look then turns and walks over to the man, as they watch her, she puts the mans arm over her shoulder, ready to take him out.
"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Dean asks. 
"The ER... unless you wanna go a round first." Ruby says. Dean doesn't say anything and she walks out with the man, he and Ellie turn to look at Sam.
"Guys." Sam starts, Dean just walks through the door leaving Sam and Ellie behind. "Dean!" He shouts after his brother as Ellie sighs, Sam turns to his little sister who just stares at him with no clear emotion. "El, look I'm-" Sam is interrupted when Ellie holds up her hand. 
"Don't, don't. You're not sorry. You're not. Look, I don't know what you got up to in the four months we were all apart, but this.... This isn't right Sam." Ellie says with a shake of her head, Sam goes to talk but she holds a hand up to him again. "No. I know we have been apart but I still know you like the back of my hand. You think you're helping people and I am sure you are but it isn't the right way to go about it. I know you're not a bad person but Sammy, this is a bad path." Sam looks down to the floor and nods. 
"I'm saving people, El. I feel like this bad thing inside of me is doing some good." Sam explains, Ellie nods and walks over to him. She doesn't say anything but gives him a hug. 
"I know, brother. I know. But you are good, Sam. You don't need to do this to prove it. I know you are good." Ellie whispers to him as she pulls away. "You know Dean is going to go insane right? Bet you 10 bucks he punches you." She says trying to lighten the tension, Sam smiles slightly but it quickly drops. Ellie hooks her arm around his arm. "Let's go back to the motel."
