The Little Flower Shop

Chapter 2

   As I finished cleaning up the shop, I heard the bell go off on the door. Eh? I could've sworn I locked the door. I turned around to see who came in.

"I'm sorry but the shop is closed right now"

A big, round man, easily towering over me came in is what I saw. His mouth is big and his nose is smaller, which alongside his odd body proportions, gave him an odd look. In short, he's shaped like a seven foot tall teddy bear. He was carrying a huge bag of snacks and currently eating them.

"Oh I'm sorry miss, I hadn't notice"

He said scratching the back of his head nervously. He's not from around here with that accent.

"I'll come by tomorrow!"

He smiled and bowed- almost hitting the ceiling fan down. I just chuckled.

"It's fine heh the shop opens up at eight am tomorrow, if you'd like you can check out my website to get a feel of what we have and can make for ya."

I quickly handed him my business card.

"Ya'know you're such a nice lady, I'll be sure to check it out! G'bye now miss?"

"Oh my name's Nala!"

"Alright Ms.Nala, get home safe. "

I nodded with a smile as he left the shop. Wow what a nice guy unlike that asshole. Just thinking about that guy made me roll my eyes ugh. Nonetheless let me start heading home, the shops all cleaned up so I can close up shop.

Ah I have to go to the bank tomorrow to deposit half of that money in the briefcase. Eh it's alright I'll just do it tomorrow when I go on break. I quickly snuck into my house and immediately the lights were turned on stopping me in my tracks. Fuck what does she want now!?

My mother walked up to me in her robe and sniffed in my scent.

"I see you've met a few Alphas today...but you're still unmarked. I'd hurry up if I were you, with only two days left to find a mate-"

"Sigh..I know, I have two days left mom."

She growled at my response

"And if you know why don't you-"

She cut herself off to let out an evil dry laugh as she walked off into her bedroom. I sighed out in relief now that she's left. I know that laugh isn't a good thing at all...Ugh.

I somehow brushed it off as I started looking into the kitchen to search for something to eat, but I shouldn't even be surprised that there's nothing to eat in this damned house. She doesn't even cook for me anymore she only cooks for her mates.

I sucked it up and had bread with butter along with some tea and called it a night. I showered after that I dropped down onto my bed to check the reviews on my shop. I got two new reviews. One from Shinso as usual and one from anonymous? Wow a full five stars? Heh that boosted up my shop to the top fifty places to shop on this side of town!

"Hah! Would you look at that!"

That brought a huge smile on my face as I put my phone onto the charger, laying it on my nightstand.

My alarm is what woke me up this morning, I was almost late opening up the shop this morning. The customers that had ordered their arrangement online came and picked them up nice and early.

Which is good, because I've got to order some more flowers and whatnot. So that when people have a certain type of flower they want, like roses. Which is more popular this time around because of Valentine's day. I'd be ready to make their orders.
